Aurelius looked over his shoulder to make sure Silver was still following.
"Anything or anyone you wanted to look for while we're out here?"

Aurelius looked over his shoulder to make sure Silver was still following.
"Anything or anyone you wanted to look for while we're out here?"
"Maybe a few herbs" said Silver, shoving his thoughts away.
group
Aurelius nodded in acknowledgement, but didn't say anything. He just kept walking.
Silver came up beside him, keeping a light grip on his satchel, and a light pace.
group
Aurelius looked to Silver and moved even closer to him- just far enough that he wouldn't trip him up, but he was still very close.
Silver smiled aty him, slipping an arm around the other's waist as they walked.
group
Aurelius let out a tiny gasp of surprise, then gazed at Silver intensely with his big blue eyes. He leaned in a bit closer and put his own hand on Silver's upper back.
Silver grinned, tugging the other against his side, leading him on as they walked.
group
Aurelius pressed his cheek to Silver's shoulder and reached around with his free hand to touch Silver's hand on his waist.
Silver twined his fingers with the others, smiling.
group
Aurelius' grip on his hand tightened just a little. He didn't want to let go.
He smiled. "Well… I'm pretty sure I talked about not wanting to jump into anything but uh… I don't know. I just really like being around you, so…"
Silver's smile widened. "I like you too.." he said quietly.
group
Aurelius nodded. "It feels nice to have someone who cares about you, but not because they have to. Warms my heart to hear you say that about me."
Silver smiled, "I have to say I agree" he said.
group
He looked down at his feet shyly. "I'm glad you feel the same. Seeing you happy is a beautiful thing, you know."
Silver grinned, "Again, You keep taking the words from my heart"
group
Aurelius could feel a little heat rise to his face. "Heh… yeah, I'm happier than I've been in a long while."
Silver grinned, "Glad to hear it!" he said.
group
Too bad we're in the middle of what might become a war. Gods, what if something happened to him?
Aurelius' expression fell to a slightly more somber one. He still tried to smile, but he had to look away from Silver to compose himself.
Silver frowned. "You okay Aurelius?"
group
"Yeah, I just think too much," Aurelius said, trying to shake his feelings off.
He ran a hand through his hair.
Silver wrapped his arm reassurringly around the other's shoulders. "It's gonna be okay."
group
"Hopefully," Aurelius replied, brushing his hand up against Silver's, "I have a feeling a lot of bad things are upon us."
"That sounds pretty normal." said Silver.
group
"Bad things happening? Yeah. Seems commonplace nowadays, especially since there are a lot of people who want our kind dead," Aurelius replied, a bit of resentment in his voice- not towards Silver, but towards the situation.
"Yep" said Silver, "Been dealing with it since I was ten. What's a war gonna do?"
group
"Well, I mean… I'm pretty sure my folks were killed for the same reason, but it's just starting to become a lot more… real, you know? Besides, war means casualties. Large-scale. I'm not ready to see that, and I honestly don't understand why I agreed to come here, because at the end of the day, I'm weak and a coward," Aurelius replied.
"Actually mine were killed by hunters…" said Silver, "And then I got mixed up in other stuff…" he said,
"And you are not a coward alright?"
group
"Being killed for who you are, I mean," Aurelius clarified, "Being killed for having magic is quite similar to being hunted because you're a half-wolf."
He glanced sideways.
"And thanks for the sentiment, but I'm not sure I believe that."
"You're not a coward alright?" he said, "And nothing can tell me otherwise."
