Bridge smiled.
Romantic/Realistic Fiction Roleplay, anyone?
(This tension is killing me omg)
“I have to go.”, she repeated, turning around quickly. I’m sorry.
(Gtg arg)
Tay stepped closer, "I'm sorry." he frowned, "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." he could still feel the rejection ripping through him. I didn't think it would be this hard. Tay smiled at Vera, "Since you refused, can you still be my friend?"
(I’m back!)
It pained Vera to see how much this was hurting him. “Of course! I— I just-“ Her voice quivered, and a thought occurred to her. “I’m in a foster home now, Tay. I’ll be gone soon, adopted. I— I don’t want to hurt you.”, she said, voice dropping to a whisper.
(This whole thing is killing me right now and I love it)
(Aw no you’re gone!)
"We can still keep in touch." Tay smiled, "I'll visit you wherever you go."
Vera was oddly touched, but she pushed it down, heart hammering wildly. She nodded. “Th-Thanks Tay, I need to go—my sister—“ She gestured helplessly towards her phone, glad that her desperation made it seem like she actually had to call.
Tay nodded and smiled, "You're welcome." nearby, Bridge glared and picked at her fingernails.
(Yay you’re back!)
Vera nodded and whirled around, running from the room, out the school, into the street, around the corner, until she reached the only place she felt safe: the cemetery. Slipping between closely packed graves, she clutched her sketchbook tightly and slowed to a walk, making her way to a small cluster of trees.
(Not for long, my older brother wants to use the computer and I'm at a party, so if I disappear..)
Kamè held onto Tay's shoulder, "Hey man, don't sweat it. True love always makes it through."
Felix sighed, "I dunno Kamè, Marya will never forgive me."
"Give her time, maybe two years?" Kamè laughed, "She'll come around."
Tay smiled at them and sat back down at the table. "Thanks guys."
(Ah, I see :P)
Vera wove through the trees, fists clenched as she recalled the devasted look on Tay’s face. She blinked back tears. I’m sorry. Kneeling down, she sat herself down next to a handmade wooden cross with an inscription on it. Her mother had been buried back in Chicago, but This was the little grave Vera had made for her here. She took her cross necklace from under her shirt, and began to pray.
Tay ate his food in silence and wondered again if it was because he was shorter than Vera.
(Poor Tay!)
Vera finished her prayer and leaned back against a sturdy oak tree, trying hard not to cry. I’m sorry Tay, it’s for your own good, I promise., she thought sadly, determined not to ruin his future, the one he’d worked so hard for.
Tay touched the bruise on his shoulder and sighed, I guess it's not just my shoulder that was bruised by someone I love today.
(Whoah!!)
Vera leaned her forehead on her knees, tears spilling from her soft green eyes. Her heart throbbed, wanting Tay so much it hurt. She knew she could never had him.
Kamè reached over and tapped Tay's forehead, "Hello? Earth to Tay?"
Vera began brewing a plan on her head, a plan that would hurt her as much is it would help Tay, although he didn’t know it. I should skip 4th period, that’s when I have a class with Tay, and then I should be fine the rest of the day. I’ll take the long way around to all my classes..
Tay's head snapped up, "Yeah, yeah, I'm here." the bell rang and Tay picked up his backpack, praying, hoping, dreaming of 4th period, when he would see Vera again.
(Oh no, poor Tay!)
Vera swallowed her pain, opening up Her sketchbook and taking out her pencil. If she was going to stay here for all of 4th, she might as well do something useful.
Tay entered Honors Math with high hopes for the next period.
(Oh, lord)
Vera finished off her drawing for the competition, a surreal castle scene.
He listened, fascinated, always raising his hand. After all, math is interesting.
Vera checked her watch. Just twenty more minutes. She gritted her teeth, determined to be strong.
Tay was nearly bursting with excitement when he walked into (i forgot which class they shared), but his heart fell when the second bell rang and Vera wasn't there.
(Aww… 😭)
(Wanna slip forward or are you good?)
(lets slip (skip, you mean?))
Yeah oops)
Tay walked out of school with Kamè and Felix flanking his sides, talking about girls.
"Dude! Kyli has been eyeing me for a week, what do you think it means?"
Felix moped, "I don't know. I only know Marya."
