Jair sighed. "I'll heal." He replied. "It just needs a bandage and I'm okay." He told her, unbuttoning the shirt and pulling off the right side for better access to the wound.
RP? One on One
(How deep is this wound, exactly?)
(not super deep, but deeper than the average scratch if that makes sense XD)
(Yeah it does lol)
Kana gently touched the skin around the wound. "Does that hurt?" She looked at him with worried eyes.
(good lol)
He shrugged. "Not too much. Their blades weren't poisoned or anything, if that's what you're worried about." He peered down at his shoulder. "And it's a clean cut."
The landlady knocked on the door. "I have the bandages for you!" She called.
Jair opened the door, forgetting that his shirt was hanging half open and typically, most people didn't appreciate that. Nor the wound sending rivulets of blood down his chest. "Thank you." He said, taking the bandages and closing the door.
Kana got up and took the bandages out of his hands. "Sit," she gestured for him to go back to his original state.
He sighed, and sat down again. "I can do this myself, Kana. There's no need for you to."
Kana looked down and bit her lip. For a queen, you think that she wouldn't be so easily discouraged, but she was. "Right," she looked back up and gave him a smile. "Of course you can. I just felt like I should be helping is all."
Jair smiled slightly. "No, you don't need to. It's fine. Just doing my job." He took the bandages, and started cleaning off the wound.
Kana was watching him. Not on purpose, she just lost track of what she was doing and started to space off.
He frowned slightly, and mopped up the blood that had run down his chest. There wasn't any fat on his lean body, from years of combat training and dueling. Once he was done cleaning it, he started binding the wound, not really noticing that Kana was watching.
Kana realized she was watching and immediately looked away in embarrassment. "Er, so you'll take this room, right?"
Jair glanced up. "Hmm? Oh. I'll take whatever room you don't want." He replied as he finished binding it. He pulled his shirt back on, buttoning it up.
"Right. I'll take the other room, then," Kana walked over to the other room and forgot to close the door behind her. (If there isn't a door that separates their rooms, forget that last part) She sat on the edge of the bed and sighed.
(I was planning on there being a door between the two rooms, yes)
Jair sighed softly, and started cleaning off his armor and sword, putting the armor to the side carefully as he finished cleaning each piece.
Kana got up and made her way to the window. She opened the curtains slightly and giggled at the sight she saw.
Jair glanced over. "What's so funny?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. His dark hair was still pulled back into a small ponytail.
"A puppy," she giggled in between her words, "he's chasing his own tail." She looked at him, still giggling "You should come look!"
He laughed, and came over, peering over her shoulder. He chuckled softly. "Oh, cute."
Kana let the curtain close and suddenly grew silent, mumbling something about her and the dog. She looked over at his now bandaged wound.
He raised his eyebrows slightly, wondering what she was muttering. The bandage was hidden by his shirt, though the bandages shoulder was a bit thicker looking than the other.
I truly hate that governor. She sighed and closed her eyes. She was visibly upset, but her voice sounded quite normal. "Jair?"
He looked at her. "Yeah?" He asked, wondering what she was about to say. It was obvious she was upset.
"Do you think that the governor will try and do anything that will harm us?" She looked at him, her eyebrows furrowed.
"You mean other than what he already tried?" He asked with a raised brow. He thought for a moment. "I'm not really sure." He crossed the room to the door from her room into the hallway. "Which is why I'm going to secure your door shut, so that the only way to get to you is through my room."
She nodded. "That's smart," she walked over to her bed and sat down again. "Thank you."
He nodded. "You're welcome." He sighed softly, locking the door. "I can't nail it shut; the landlady would be pissed." He frowned, then dragged the heavy wooden dresser in front of the door, then the vanity. "That will have to do. I'll put them back before we leave."
Kana fell asleep in a matter of seconds, not even bothering to get under the covers. (Time skip or..?)
Jair went back to his room, and got in bed. (Sure)
Time skip to the next morning
Kana was barely starting to wake up. She was very cold and she regretted not going under the covers.
