"I don't think he does." She crossed her arms and looked up at the ceiling. "He said just a few moments that he didn't mind if I had an affair…"
RP? One on One
But I don't want to be "just an affair". He thought. "Oh." Was all he said aloud, closing his eyes for a moment. Stop complaining. You're a commoner. You're lucky she even looked at you twice.
Kana sighed and looked down at the floor. "I know it's not the best situation… But it's the best option we have with the least amount of consequences."
Jair nodded. "Unless I got you pregnant, for whatever reason. And then it would be worse." He replied, raking a hand through his hair.
She took a deep breath before responding, her cheeks slightly flushed. "Well, yes… That's true."
"Because…my children would not look the same as Aydan's." He shook his head, mentally comparing himself with the nobleman.
Kana hid her face with her hand as she looked down. Dang, I forgot about having to have kids. "Well, we could be careful…" she trailed off. What am I saying?! Jeez, I'm not one to cheat on someone! Even if they allow me to!
Jair shook his head slightly. "Mm. There's no need to really be talking about this anyway…" He replied softly. "Sorry."
"Wh-what?" She looked up at him, shock, confusion, and dejection written all over her face. What is he saying? "But- what do you mean by that?"
"Because you aren't married yet, and I doubt we'll ever, er, do the things that would lead to children anyway." Jair said with a shrug.
Kana pursed her lips and hid her face again. Jeez. She sighed and accepted defeat, "I guess…"
Jair bit his lip slightly. "I'm sorry." He said softly.
"It… It's fine. Really." She turned around and tried unlocking her door with her shaking hands. Could I maybe not be so emotional all the time?!
Jair nodded, closing his eyes for a moment. "Okay." He replied simply.
(I gtg to bed soon)
(me too lol)
She finally opened her door. Just get inside, just get inside, just get inside… She walked in and collapsed on her bed, not even bothering to close the door behind her.
(Goodnight! Hope you sleep well lol)
(lol ok)
He watched her go for a moment, then turned to go to his own room.
(Goodnight! You too lol)
(Did ya sleep well? lol)
(Do we wanna do a timeskip to like,,,, dinnertime or something?)
(lol yes, until I woke up cold XD did you?)
(Uhhm sure)
(Oh oof! Yeah i slept alright-)
Time skip
It's… it's getting late. Aydan must be getting hungry. Kana had been in her bed, staring off into space and thinking either too much at once or nothing at all. I wonder if Jair is hungry.
(that's good!)
Jair was reading, hair hanging into his face slightly. He was hungry, but didn't want to get off the bed. His head was in a good place right now, and he didn't want that to change. He didn't want to lose the peace he had.
Kana sighed loudly and forced herself to sit up, her legs hanging off the bed. She glanced up at the window and internally smiled. It's a nice, rainy day. She wasn't aware that her face was frowning, and her eyebrows were furrowed. It had become her very own resting face, her frown. I already ate. I ate too much, in fact… An idea popped into her head, but she wasn't sure if she should act on it or not
Jair kept reading, leaning back against the wall. He was lucky; this book was peaceful. No reminders of anything, just…something he could immerse himself in and forget about everything for a while.
Kana inhaled sharply. If I do this… then I could eat dinner with Aydan. And actually eat. She stood up, tempted to take action. She was conflicted, however, as she knew what she was going to do was wrong. There's no harm in doing it once. Kana shrugged and made her way to the bathroom.
Jair bit his lip slightly as he read, adjusting his position slightly so he was more comfortable. Every time he moved, pain would flicker through his body from the still healing wounds.
just gonna do a quick timeskip because i dont feel like writing about Kana forcing herself to throw up
Kana stood at Jair's door and knocked. I feel better. Like a weight's been lifted… literally. She smiled softly
Jair opened the door after a moment, holding his book in hand. "Hey."
"Are you hungry? She asked, looking down at the book in his hand. Oh, good. He's actually reading it. Kana smiled weakly at him. "I figured I should ask, since it's dinnertime and all that-"
He looked at her carefully. "Sure." he said slowly. "So long as you eat something too."
"Of course," the corner of her mouth twitched. "Come with me, then." She started to walk towards the kitchen (or dining room idk)
Jair set the book down and followed her quietly. He shifted, reaching up into his shirt to adjust a bandage, then dropping his hand again.
