Jason was quiet as he sat down, waiting for their food.

Saffi rests her head on her hands and sighs. "I'm so sorry Jason…." she whispers. Color draining from her face after a while of silence between them.

Jason looks up. "Will Milo be okay?" He asks softly. "The doctor said he lost his eyesight…"

Saffi takes a deep breath and looks at him. "Milo is a fighter Jason, with or without his eyesight. He will be alright," she assures him, sounding more confident then she felt.

He nods, resting his head on the table until the food was served.

Saffi sighs as the food is set down and pokes it with her fork. "Hey, you're just as much of a fighter as he is. You'll be okay too…got it?" she says softly.

Jason nods, then perks. "Could we bring Milo snickerdoodles? He loves those." he says, smiling a little.

"Of course we can buddy," she agrees, her look softening. "Just let me know when you're ready to go back."

He nods, slowly beginning to eat. Jason looks at Saffi. "You need to eat too. Milo wouldn't want you to starve." he says quietly.

Saffi looks down at her food and shakes her head. "Not hungry…" she mutters.

Jason tilts his head, "Milo wouldn't want you to starve." he says softly.

"I know Jason…but I'm just not…I can't eat right now…" Saffi whispers under her breath.

He nods, before returning to his meal.

Saffi sighs and continues to push her food around.

He looks up. "Milo is probably lonely." He says softly. "Can we go cheer him up with the snickerdoodles?"

Saffi smiles slightly and nods. "Sure we can…" she says and stands up slowly.

"Thanks." he says softly.

Saffi walks up to a counter and quickly buys some cookies, then motions for Jason to follow her. "Let's go…" she says.

He nods and takes her hand as they return to Milo's room. The doctor was currently checking up on him. "So you're saying I'm blind, and I'll need surgery in my knee?" Milo was saying. The doctor nods. "To remove the shrapnel and the glass." He explains. He nods, sighing softly. "And my parent's have already paid for the fees?" The doctor nods again. "Yes, we recieved the payment this morning." Milo releases a breath. "Alright."

Saffi looks down as she walks in the room and sits in a chair. Not saying anything.

Milo leans back, the doctor nodding Saffi and Jason. Milo leans back, sighing softly. "We brought cookies." Jason calls softly. Milo sits up. "Jason? Saffi?"
