Gij hastily cracked it on the surface of the table and picked it apart. He pulled the eggshell off of it and shoved the egg in his mouth with no restraint.
"Anything else I can get you?" Sia asked. She was facing the microwave so she couldn't see that Gij had stuffed the whole egg in his mouth.
"Mhmpm! Phanks!"
"Wha?" She turned around. "Oh whoops! Sorry! Didn't realize you had your mouth full." The microwave dinged and she pulled the tupperware out and grabbed a fork. She walked over to the fridge and grabbed a jar of ketchup.
Gij smiled hastily to show her it was okay, then regretted it. He swallowed it with difficulty. "Uh, that's alright. I just got a little… eggcited. Do you have any more?"
"Lemme look." She checked the fridge. "Yeah. Two more."
"Awesome. They're great with salt and pepper though." Gij stood and grabbed the respective shakers.
She set down her food and grabbed the two eggs. "Here ya go." She said.
"Thanks! Do you have any plates?"
"Of course!" She chuckled and reached into a cabinet. "Here."
"Thanks, again." He took it and shook some salt and pepper onto it.
She smiled warmly. "No problem Gij." She sat down.
He cracked the eggs and peeled the shell off. He put the remains in the sink and disposed them before sitting down, looking excited about his eggs.
Sobex snuggled back into his feet, growling grumpily.
"Well hello sleeping beauty." Sia giggled. "You hungry?"
Sobex yapped angrily and set his chin back down.
"I… I phink he's still sleepy."
"Mm." She started eating.
Gij picked up the second half of his egg and rolled it in the salt and pepper, then, ate it whole, closing his eyes appreciatively.
Sia spooned some ketchup onto her meatloaf.

Sia chuckled. "So you were hungry."
"Mhm… a little. Phanks!" He grinned at her.
She grinned back. "No problem Gij!" She finished her meatloaf and walked over to the sink, rinsing the plate.
Gij ate his egg slowly, appreciating the flavor he, oh so missed. He soon finished it and rose with the plate with the spices on it in hand.
"Can I get you anything else Gij?" She asked, drying the plate.
"Hm… do you have any more egg-related food? I… really like eggs."
"Weeeelll." She went over to the fridge. "I don't have anymore hard boiled ones, but I could cook up some more if you want."
"Oh, please do. I always crave hardboiled eggs."
"Alrighty! It'll take a few minutes. How many?"
"Mmmhp a whole dozen if that's okay."
"Land sakes Gij! You hath robbed me of my entire egg supply!" She laughed, filling a pot with water and placing the eggs in there. I knew it. He was hungry.
