"What do you define as human nature?"

(I'll have to go soon I'll be back on later tho)

"Well, humans are sensitive to what they don't understand."

"True." Sia murmured, "But sensitivity is different from outright harassing."

(Hello I'm back!)
"It didn't seem like harassing. Once again, I understood nevertheless."

Sia sighed. "One shouldn't judge a book by it's cover though."

Gij shrugged. "You run by that philosophy?" He grinned at her weakly.

She smiled back. "Yup."

"Well, I wish others did too. It gets really lonely when people turn away from you."

Sia nodded. "Or think you're fine because they don't see the hidden damage."

Gij nodded. "Yeah, but that's coming from a nurse or someone who works in the medical field. I'm probably annoyingly depressed…"

"From what I understand, you've suffered from a bit of trauma and depression. And as a healer, it's my duty to tell you that I'm going to be taking your depression pretty seriously. No matter how 'annoying' it is." She folded her arms. "So get used to it kiddo."

"But… why? Why would you care so much? I'm sure you've seen worse cases than my own!" Sobex yapped harshly.
"I'm not being ungrateful I'm just… I'm not worth your time!"

"I care because…" She trailed off. "Because someone should care when no one else does. It doesn't matter if there are worse cases, it doesn't invalidate what you are going through." She placed a hand on his shoulder. "And you are worth my time."

Gij sighed. "Well, what do you plan on doing? Not… not a lot helps anymore." He unconsciously rubbed his forearm.

Sia shrugged. "The normal treatment for depression is therapy and medication."

"Medications don't work. I lost my prescriptions and my doctor probably won't give me more. And I can't find any therapists who'll take me."

"I'll take you then." Sia said. "I'm not 'officially' a therapist, but I've read enough to be an amateur. If you'll take me."

"Um… sure… I guess." Gij looked taken aback. "Thanks… I…"

"Your welcome Gij." She pulled him into a hug.

Gij blinked, flabbergasted for a few moments before hugging her back.

Sia kept him in the hug, staying until he was ready to let go.

Gij stayed for about five minutes before realizing that it was probably too long, then let her go reluctantly.

Sia smiled. "We should both get something to eat."

"Alright. I'm not really hungry though."

"You need to eat though." She said, standing up. "I don't think you've eaten since breakfast."

"I haven't. But… I don't really want to. I don't think I need to."

"It's important to eat. Your body needs fuel." She grabbed his hand to pulled him into the kitchen. "At least start with something to drink."

"Alright… alright… if you say so." He grunted as she forced him into a chair.

She filled a glass with water and dropped some peppermint leaves in it, handing it to him.

"What… did you put in it?" Gij looked at her suspiciously.
