(Afternoon! Are you online?)
The People Who Stole a VERY Rare Dragon and Got Away with It (Closed//Stalkers Enabled)
(Well, I was, and now I'm not. (Thx mom))
Artemisia nodded. "Do you think they're abusing any other dragon…"
(darn it)
"I don't know. I didn't hear any others." Gij admitted before taking another bite.
(Heyo! You on?)
Artemisia nodded again. "So what's your next move?"
(Heck yeah)
"I… don't know…" Gij's face fell. "I don't have anywhere to go…"
Artemisia walked back into the kitchen, putting away the peanut butter and jelly. "Well… I know you have no reason to trust me, but you can stay here for now."
"Ugh… with this wound… alright… if that's okay with you, I suppose I'll stay. Okay, Sobex?" Sobex yapped.
"Alright then. Would you two like some water?"
Sobex started flying sloppily around yapping, and Gij laughed. "Yeah, we'll both take some."
Artemisia nodded, pouring water into a glass and bowl. She handed Gij the glass and set the bowl down on the ground. "Is Sobex going to get any bigger?"
"Oh, yeah. But he's gonna grow really slow. By the time I'm dead he'll probably be only a couple of inches longer." He took a sip of the water and Sobex started drinking quickly, which slopped water out of the bowl.
Artemisia chuckled as Sobex eagerly gulped down the water. "Good. We don't have to worry too much about moving elsewhere then."
Gij nodded and finished his water. "Hey, um, thanks again… I um…"
"Don't mention it." Artemisia smiled slightly.
Gij nodded and set the glass awkwardly down on the ground, his pallid skin flushed red.
Artemisia rubbed her arm. "You okay? You're a bit red."
"Oh, yeah I'm okay. I'm just stupid, is all." He grinned a little. Sobex made a weird purring sound.
"Ooookaay. Jus asking. I thought it might be a side effect from the cut. How's the cut feeling?"
"Better, thanks… um… Hey, I never asked your name."
"Artemisia." She felt her face flush slightly. Was she getting a cold?
"It's great to meet you. Sobex says it's a pleasure." Sobex yapped and slammed his tail onto the ground.
Artemisia chuckled. "It's great to meet you two too."
Gij smiled at her and Sobex yapped happily again.
Artemisia played with the end of her braid, noticing he had a nice smile. "So… is it just dragons that you can understand?"
"Well, I was raised into their language. Or I guess you could think of me as a Dragonborn from Skyrim." He chuckled.
"I haven't played Skyrim. Did you grow up with dragons then?"
"Well, no." He turned red. "I…"
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." Artemisia shrugged.
"No, my parents are descendants from the dragon age, and they taught me how to recognize the language and speak it. It's… not as cool as it sounds, I don't think." He didn't want to seem like he was showing off…
"No it is! That's really neat! I thought that the bloodlines of the dragon age had all died off." She sat down across from him. "At least, that's what the history books say around here."
