Gij smiled, feeling relieved. "Okay. Thanks, I guess." He laid down when she'd laid the sheets down and the pillows. "Have a good night."

The next morning
Artemisia rolled out of bed. She got up and walked into the kitchen, not bothering to change out of her pajamas. She started a pot of boiling water, set a pan to heat, and pulled out ground coffee. "Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey." She yelled before yawning.
Sobex stirred in Gij's arms, who was snoring gently and yapped. Gij didn't wake up; it was clear that this poor boy hadn't gotten a good night's sleep in a while.
Artemisia poked her head in and saw that Gij was still fast asleep. He was kind of cute when asleep. "Hey Sobex." She whispered. "Hungry?"
Sobex yapped but she didn't understand him. Gij mumbled weird words in his sleep. Sobex looked at him and beat his tail on the bed, yapping.
"Let him sleep. If your hungry you can just follow me. I've making bacon, eggs, and coffee. Though I doubt you'll be interested in the coffee."
Sobex didn't seem to want to leave Gij. Gij mumbled more crazy words that was definitely a different dialect, which got Sobex excited again.
"Okay then. I'll just go make my breakfast, and when he wakes up, I'll get you guys fed." She turned to leave.
Sobex flailed and whined with excitement as Gij blinked awake. "Sobex… what are you doing?" He looked at Sia. "Oh, hey…"
"Hey there. Did you sleep alright?"
Gij slowly sat up. "Yeah… it smells really good in here… what'd you make?" Sobex yapped and hopped around on the bed.
"I'm making eggs, bacon, and coffee. I've still got some bread if you're interested in some toast."
"Mmmm… alright, coffee." He slowly rose and pulled his hoodie back on. Underneath of it was a gray tee shirt with a dragon on the front. She also saw what looked like a tattoo on his neck before he covered it.
"What's the tattoo?" She asked, leading him back to the kitchen. She measured coffee into her french press and poured the steaming water into the press.
Gij sighed. "Do you wanna see it, or want me to give the long boring explanation?"
"Eh, both. I've got time this morning." She cracked a couple of eggs onto the pan. "How do you like your eggs?"
"Scrambled." He took his hoodie off and hung it over the back of a chair. He took his shirt off next, and it turned out it wasn't much of a tattoo, but scales. It covered the majority of his arm/neck area and a lot of his chest and back. They were a light greenish blue and they shimmered majestically in the light of the kitchen.
"Woah. You really are part dragon." She felt her face flush slightly. She turned and faced the stove, scrambling the eggs. "So, were they a there when you were born, or more of a grow in as you grow up kind of thing?"
"They grew, and sometimes they shed." He put his shirt back on and left his hoodie to it. "When they shed it hurts like a great… well it hurts."
"I believe it." She scooped the eggs onto a couple of plates and set the bacon to cook. She handed him a plate. "Here."
(I gtg dammit)
(grrr ok are you gonna be back today?)
"Thanks." He started to eat graciously.
(I think so. Sorry in advance if I'm not)
(Okay. Have a great rest of your day if you're not.)
(Hey hey hey! I'm back!)
(YAY! I was gonna get off soon)
"Thanks." He started to eat graciously.
Artemisia stood at the stove, waiting for the bacon to cook. "Would you consider yourself more reptilian or mammalian? Since you're part dragon and all."
"Well, I'm not cold-blooded, so I suppose I'm mammalian." He said over a mouthful of egg.
"Mm." Artemisia nodded, scooping the bacon onto a plate. She walked over and set the plate down before walking over to the counter and pressing down on the french press. "Do you want sugar and/or cream in your coffee?"
"Ohh, plenty of both. Thanks."
Sobex hopped up on to the table next to Gij and started eating his bacon. Gij didn't seem to mind.
"Well, I guess Sobex claimed the bacon." Artemisia chuckled, pouring coffee into two cups. She got out a small jar of sugar and a small jar of cream, setting them on the table. "Help yourself." She said, taking a small scoop of sugar.
