They stood there smiling for a few minutes before Sia blinked. Wait, am I staring at him again?

Gij smiled a little wider. Sia could count his dimples. "Oh, hey look at that, we're staring at each other again."

"Yeah…" Sia blushed. "Sorry." She quickly turned, hoping Gij hadn't seen her blushing.

Gij giggled gently. "That's alright." He couldn't pull the smile off of his face.

"You're cute when you smile." Sia said shyly, turning back to face him.

"You're… really cute when you smile too." Gij turned red a little.

"Thanks." Sia murmured, blushing harder.

Gij nodded and turned red in the ears. "You're welcome."

Sia nodded too. Why are we nodding now?

Gij smiled a little wider and Sobex watched them from under his towel.

The timer went off and Sia rushed to turn it off and pull out the cookies.

Sia set the tray down and placed the other one into the oven.

Gij rubbed the back of his head and looked down at Sobex who had a smug look written on his little face.

Sia sat down and started drumming her fingers.

Gij glanced up at her shyly.

Sia smiled shyly.

He smiled back, turning a faint red.

Sobex yapped and hopped up onto the table, his stripes glowing a deep, velvety red, which just about made Gij's face explode with red again.

"You okay? You're turning redder then a beet."

Gij hid his face behind his hands and Sobex strutted around the table.

"What? Is it Sobex's stripes?"

Gij nodded. "Sobex wants and loves to embarrass me…"

"Why are red stripes embarrassing?"

"He's… uh… he's trying to convey love." Gij blushed harder somehow.

"…okay." Sia said, not quite understanding.
