"Child." Sia groaned. "Why must you do that?!" She looked at the mess. "I'll go get a broom."

Gij smiled feeling strangely happier than in his life. "Yeah. He's funny, isn't he?" He collected the flour covered dragon pup in his arms.

"He thinks he is." Sia chuckled. Finding her broom, she set to sweeping up the mess. Why do I feel so… strangely happy?

Sobex yapped and waved his nubs around and his stripes turned a bubblegum pink. Gij's face exploded with red and he turned, then unceremoniously shoved him into the kitchen sink for a bath.

Sia finished the floor and started working on the table.

Gij carefully washed under Sobex's scales and worked as slowly as possible, so he didn't have to turn and face Sia. Seeing Sia again would probably make him simultaneously combust.

Sia concentrated on moving the flour across the table and into the garbage can.

Gij flipped Sobex over onto his tummy and gently cleaned under his scales, avidly wondering how so much grime can get under scales.

Sia stood up and put the broom away.

Sobex yapped and thumped around in the sink as Gij easily held him steady.

Sia walked back into the kitchen. "After your done with Sobex, we can put the chocolate chips in the mix."

"Okay." Gij nodded and ducked his head a little, so Sia didn't see his still red face.

Sia tidied up the table and pulled out the chocolate chips, measuring them out.

Gij finished with Sobex sooner or later and received a towel to dry him off.

Sia stared in space, thinking about the dimples on Gij's face when he smiled. He had a nice smile.

Gij finished with Sobex, allowing himself to be more concentrated than usual with his task, and let Sobex go.
"Alright, let's go. How much do we need?" Gij walked into the kitchen and grinned at Sia.

Sia snapped out of it. "Yup."

"Cool." Gij grabbed the bowl and waited for her to pour the chips in before stirring it.

Sia dumped the chips into the bowl.

Gij stirred and set the bowl down. "So, do you hand roll them or do you just plop them onto the pan?" Gij looked at her.
