Gij nodded. "Alright, then we can just keep Sobex in there, so he can have some room to fly around."

Sia nodded. "You doing alright? Is there anything I can get you?"

Gij nodded. "I'm alright. Sobex is thirsty, though."

"You should probably drink some water too. You need to stay hydrated." Sia said, walking into the kitchen. She tucked her taser into the pocket of her pants and filled a bowl with water for Sobex.

Sobex uncurled from his ball and waited for Sia to bring them water.

She grabbed a glass and filled that with water too. She walked back into the room and set the bowl down. She handed Gij the glass.

Gij sat up a little. "Thanks." He drained the glass as Sobex quietly drank some water.

"Your welcome." Sia sat down next to him. Sia's mind turned to Gij's words earlier. I love you.

Sobex finished the water and crawled over to Sia, his stripes glowing a russet red.

Sia stroked his head absentmindedly.

Gij looked down at Sobex, who yapped up at Gij.
"Whatcha thinking about, Sia?"

"Oh, nothing much." She paused. "It's going to be nice to see Gracie again. I haven't seen her and the kids in a couple of years."

Gij put his hand on Sobex's back, who yapped.
"Alright. It'll be cool to meet her." He laid down in the bed, then he realized it was her bed. He shut his eyes, enjoying the smell of her sheets.

"I think you'll like her." Sia said.

"Really?" I like you more. Probably. Definitely.

"Yeah. She's quite quirky. She's kind of wary around guys, but it's gotten better over the years."

Gij sighed. "Alright, I'll be cautious around her then. I might try and stay away from her."

"She won't do anything to you, I swear. She's… just had a bad experience. She'll trust you unless you give her an indication to not."

"I know, I got the hint, I don't want to accidentally provoke her."

Sia nodded. "I don't think you will."

"I think I'm clumsy enough to," Gij murmured miserably.

Sia leaned over and gently clasped his hand. "You'll be fine. She's very rational. Less jumpy then I am. Er, was."

Gij squeezed her hand. "Alright, if you say so."

Sia smiled softly.

Gij smiled back, his dimples appearing on his cheeks.

Sia giggled. "Your dimples are cute."

Gij covered his face with a hand. "No, they're not."

"Yes they are." Sia insisted, giggling more.

"No they're not…" He turned a faint red.

"Yes they are Gij." Sia stifled her giggling. He was even cuter when he blushed.
