"No they're not!" He felt himself reddening more as he noticed her giggling.

"Okay fine! Have it your way. They're not cute." She giggled more.

"No, they're not." He covered his face the best he could with one hand.

"Not what?"

"Cute! They're not cute."

"Okay. I said they're not cute." She finally managed to say it without giggling.

Gij glared at her over his hand.

"What?" She asked, smiling innocently.

"You're still laughing at me."

"No I'm not." She said, laughing.

"Yes you are!" His face reddened.

Sia took deep breaths. She stopped laughing. "Okay. I'm done. Sorry."

Gij shook his head and plopped facefirst into the bed.

"Sorry I embarrassed you."

"sss okay." His voice was muffled.

Sia shifted, laying down next to him on her back, staring at the ceiling.

Gij rolled over to look at her.

Sia looked at him. "You feel alright?" She asked, glancing at his shoulder.

Gij nodded. "I suppose I do."

Gij rolled over onto his back again. I don't want her to think I'm creepy.

"We should probably leave. The Sirens might come back."

"Yeah, we have to wait for Grace, though."

"I can call her and tell her to pick us up elsewhere. I just don't want to have to fend them off again."

Gij sighed. "We'll be fine, I think. If they do come back, we can hide. I don't think I should be walking around."

Sia nodded, still nervous.

Gij put a hand on her hand. "Calm down."

"I am calm." She replied, clearly not calm.
