The Princess And Her Guard / One-on-One (Closed)

Dylan snickered. "Mhm, however, you're more awkward than I am. Therefore, you are the lord of awkwardness." She teased.

"Fine, I am the prince of awkwardness. You should see the other knights they're more awkward than me." He said with a slight laugh.

Dylan laughed with Leon. "Good point."

"Okay we should follow them." He said, pointing towards the direction that Gabriella and Grayson went.

Dylan nodded. "Yup." She said as she took off after them.

Leon quietly followed Dylan.

When they finally got to the throne room, Dylan spotted the king talking with two teenagers, the girl with fiery red hair and blue eyes, and the boy with her black hair and dark brown eyes. The king, a kind looking man with graying hair and sparkling green eyes quickly saw Dylan and smiled brightly. "Dylan! So good to see you my child!" He said warmly, walking over and engulfing Dylan in a hug. "Nice to see you too Your Majesty." Dylan said with a small laugh.

Leon stood there quietly and played around with the hem of his shirt.

The king turned to Leon. "And who might you be?"

"I'm Leon Agnes, Princess Dylan's bodyguard." He explained as he nervously played around with his fingers behind his back.

The king nodded. "And……..why are you both here? Is there someone else with you?"
"No, we're………the only ones." The five people in the room gave her confused looks. Dylan looked over at Leon, silently asking him for help.

"Someone attacked the kingdom and we had to leave, so we were hoping we could stay here for a while." He said as he smiled slightly at Dylan.

Dylan returned the smile. The king was silent for a moment, pondering the information he had been given.
"Of course you can stay here. Stay as long as you'd like." He said kindly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some matters to attend to. Emilia and Antony can show you your rooms." He finished, then hugged Dylan again, then shook Leon's hand. "Good to meet you, Leon." Then he disappeared with one of his guards and Leon and Dylan were left with Emilia, Antony, and the twins.

Leon nodded as he shook the king's hand and smiled at Emilia and Antony.

Dylan quickly hugged Antony, then Emilia. "I missed you guys so much!"
Emilia laughed, hugging her friend back. "We missed you too. Should we show you to your rooms?"
Dylan nodded. "That would be great, thanks."

Leon stood there quietly and played around with the hem of his shirt.

Antony and Emilia took the lead, chattering energetically. Dylan was content to listen, staying behind a ways, walking beside Leon.

Leon tried to focus on what Emilia was saying but his mind kept wandering away since he had ADHD, which usually helped him in battle but failed him during conversations.

"…..so Leon, how long have you been Dylan's guard?" Emilia asked.

"A few weeks." Leon answered.

Dylan nodded. "He can be a bit obnoxious at times…" She teased playfully.

Emilia smiled. "You guys seem to get along pretty well." She observed.

"So far we're getting along well" He said to Emilia and face Dylan again, "And no I totally didn't hear you." He said sarcastically.

"Mhm, suuure you didn't." Dylan responded. Emilia and Antony snickered.
