The Princess And Her Guard / One-on-One (Closed)

"Umm……you…." Dylan whispered.

"Wait…what?!" He yelled as he looked at her in surprise.

Dylan's blush escalated and she turned around, walking quickly to the creek and walking into it, pretending to suddenly take interest to the tiny fish in the water.

Leon followed her and grabbed her shoulder to turn her around, "About what you said…Was that true?"

Dylan flinched but nodded. "Uhuh…." She whispered. "I–"

"But your royalty, and i'm just a random guy." He said, trying to act calm but his face was slightly red and his heart was beating out of his chest.

Dylan gave a soft laugh. "Random guy? You saved my life. You're my guard. You're not some random guy." Dylan said softly, close enough to Leon to feel his breath on her cheeks.

"What if I wasn't your guard?" He asked as he moved away slightly.

"What does it matter?" Dylan whispered. "Rank or status shouldn't matter. My mother was a servant."

"Wait, the Queen was a servant?!" He half-yelled in surprise.

Dylan flinched. "Please don't yell Leon." She said, wrapping her arms around herself and turning away again, feeling embarrassed.

"Sorry," He said, feeling slightly guilty

Dylan shrugged. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." She said, wading farther into the creek.

"No it's not your fault, Princess." He said as he looked away Great job, Leon. Way to make everyone instantly hate you.

(Well now this is just awkward……)
Dylan bent over, picking up a small stone. Tears sprang to her eyes. "I should've never left the castle."

"We were forced to leave the castle, Princess."

Dylan shook her head. "No we weren't! We could have stayed. I should have died with my parents." She whispered.
(Oohhh boy, here comes self-hate issues….)

"What if you parents didn't die? What if they're alive, wandering around aimlessly like us?"

Dylan sighed. "Leon they can't be alive. Xhall would go for them first."

"But there's still a chance they're possibly alive."

Dylan clenched her fist. "LEON JUST STOP! Just. Stop." Dylan shouted.

He put his hands up and moved back, "Whatever you say, but don't blame yourself on something that wasn't your fault."

(Ideas on how to fix this awkward situation?)

(why is everything becoming so awkwarddd probably bc of Leon, idek umm, Dylan leaves to have some time by herself then one of gets captured or something?????????? Idk)

Dylan sighed. "I need some time. I-I'll be back later." And with that she disappeared into the forest,

"Take your time." He said before she disappeared into the forest. He sighed and sat on a tree stump.
