The Selection RP
(lol it feels so weird to rp as Maxon)
Maxon paced around his bedroom, yet his eyes never left the side of his wall with all the pictures he had taken over the course of the Selection. Most of them were taken secretly, like the one with one of the girls running through the gardens. That girl was gone now, Maxon found her too wild. He thought of the remaining girls, listing their positive qualities and how the public thought of them. Nothing, he felt, was true, however. All the dates he had made seemed too forced, and a few of the girls seemed to be trying too hard. For once, he wanted to have something with someone. But with the Selection, that might not even be an option.
Maybe, he wondered, now that there were less girls, he would get to know them better. But then again, maybe they would just get even more competitive.
(goodnight!)
(i kind of want sam to fall in love with one of the girls. who should it be?)
(oooh that's a good idea!)
(idm)
(Okay, then Sam'll fall in love w/Rae)
Eve wandered the halls, not feeling like going to the Women's room just yet. Despite the fact that there was hardly anyone in that room now that the Selection was down to the Elite, Eve didn't feel comfortable there. She just wanted to go home but she knew she couldn't, her family needed the money and she couldn't let them down. Her brilliant green gown swished around her feet as she walked, shimmering in the sunlight from the windows. She was soon snapped out of her daze when she ran head first into someone coming around the corner.
Rae stumbled back as she was knocked into. She tripped on the deep purple skirts of her dress and fell. She looked up to see Eve's startled face staring down at her.
Looking at Emberly in her fancy dress, Sam was slightly abashed at their black shorts and white top, but masked it with a smirk. "Wow. Looks like someone's trying too hard,"
“I’m sure even a pair of dressier pants would be ‘trying too hard’ by your standards, if thats what you’re wearing.”
Sam waved a hand dismissively. "Quoth the gilder of the lily," she said. "If Prince Maxon's shallow enough to only judge me by my outward appearance, than I'd be pleased to be going home,"
“It’s not like he has much else to go off of,” she waved a hand dismissively.
Sam looked at Emberly scathingly. "Hey, I'd rather be plain than a two-faced bitch like you," (Sam is kind of hot headed and jumps to conclusion a lot.)

Eve looked down at the girl she'd bumped into, "I'm soo sorry. Are you okay?" She asked, worried that she may have hurt Rae. She held out her hand to help her up off the floor. "I'm really, really sorry."
Rae laughed lightly and took Eve's hand. She stood up and dusted herself off. "No worries. Where are you headed?"
Sam looked at Emberly scathingly. "Hey, I'd rather be plain than a two-faced bitch like you," (Sam is kind of hot headed and jumps to conclusion a lot.)
“Plain isn’t going to win ththis Selection, sweetie,” she said, fake smile on her face. “And it won’t help you once you’re out either.”
Brianna watched the speaking match like a spectator at a tennis match. “Um… if..its… okay? I’ll just… go.”
She walked over to a couch and began reading the book she’d brought down from her room.
"Once the prince sees who you really are, you'll be gone, just like that," Sam snapped their fingers. "And hey, who says that I even entered to win his heart? I'm only here to help my family, and then I'll get out of here,"
Rae laughed lightly and took Eve's hand. She stood up and dusted herself off. "No worries. Where are you headed?"
"Just wandering. I don't feel like going to the Women's room just yet." Eve laughed.
“Sam- was it Sam? - don’t you even start to judge me. Maybe I’lol accept your criticism once I trust your opinion.”
Rae rolled her eyes. "No kidding. Always so full of giggles and magazines."
"I know. Too much gossip for me." Eve agreed. "Hey, that reminds me. After the guests leave, I was going to go for a horse ride to get away from here for a little bit. Wanna join me?" she asked, hoping for Rae's company.

Sam shrugged. "Fair enough," They went back to the room, deliberating if they should wear a dress, but they had no intention of showing weakness whatsoever.

Rae was glad she'd asked. Some fresh air would do her a world of good. "I'd love to," she said brightly.

At that moment, Brianna decided to leave the Women’s Room and walk outside to the gardens, passing Eve and Rae on her way out.
Rae waved at Brianna. "Hey, Brianna," she called.
“Hi, Rae. How’s it going?”
She shrugged. "Got a date tonight. Until then I'm just going to try and relax, maybe read up a bit."
“Sounds fun. Do you want to hang out in the gardens together and read? That was my plan, anyway.”
