The Summer of 2019 (OPEN)

She could feel the uncertainty swirling in her stomach. James wasn't dead and they hadn't broken up before they were separated so that technically mean she still had a boyfriend. But what she felt with Nate was different than what she felt with James. It felt more intentional, more romantic, more real, if you will.

He pushed hair out of her face and deepened the kiss. His wasn’t good, they couldn’t hide this forever.

Alex took a walk to get some air, only to see- Ew. He loudly cleared his throat.

But this felt too right to give up. She couldn't tell if it was nerves swirling her stomach or just butterflies. She tucked her hair behind her ear and relaxed into his lips.

Nate moved away from Caroline extremely fast. “And yeah… so that and your lip should heal in no time…” he said as if all that went on here was medical advice

She rolled her eyes with a small smile. "Alright doc, whatever you say." Aww, he's trying to play it off, how cute.

“You can take some gauze with you… so the bleeding stops and don’t forget to keep pressure on it,”

Alex rolled his eyes, "You were literally what, making out? Your not playing this off, either of you."

“We were not making out! Ew her? No,” he said all too defensively. “I-I have a girlfriend so…”

"I wasn't trying to. I lost my shame and dignity a while ago, this is nothing." She chuckled.

Alex sighed and walked towards them, "Whatever."

"Hey, he said apply pressure to stop the bleeding so that's what I did. And it worked! It finally stopped bleeding." She threw her hands up defensively.

Alex yawned slightly shaking his head. He pushed his glasses up on his face, "The obvious PDA aside, how are the newcomers?"

“Umm. Hi. Hello. I’m Here. We weren’t- I mean I didn’t… I’m gonna take a walk,” he pushed past them and went outside alone.

Jezebel groggily sat up, rubbing her eyes. She actually did sleep outside, because why not, but ditched the sleeping bag. "Why do I feel like I missed a lot of shit?"

Nate jumped, “You scared me, warn me before you talk!”

She looked up, blinking. "When'd you get here?" She said, stifling a yawn.

“Just now, I used my secret super power of walking,”

"Jeez, I get it, I'm not awake awake." She said sarcastically. "But did I miss anything?"

“The newcomer woke up and no matter what you heard… I was not kissing Caroline!”

She gave him a look. "Ya sure 'bout that?" She said teasingly

“Yes I’m positive!” He huffed defensively.

She was dying of laughter. "I'm here, not giving a single fuck about what happened and he's over there trying to hide it, oh my god he's too cute sometimes."

"Then why do you feel the need to mention it? To many details, Nate." She said, shaking her head

“Because they’ll try to tell you I did. I’ll havr you know that I have a girlfriend!”

"Sure. So you keep flirting with her. Ya know, for funsies."

"Oh, oh my god my ribs hurt!" She found his flustered defensiveness adorably hilarious.

“I flirt with everyone. That’s how it works babe,”

"…Don't call me babe. Please." She said, straight faced

She finally calmed down from her laughing fit. "Okay, okay, I think I'm good now. My god that was great." She wiped tears of laughter from her eyes.
