Corbin nodded a bit and helped him gather his bags. "There's gotta be some sort of organization thing that isn't too expensive that we can get for this."
“ there's nothing left to say now.”
“ like some toats or something?” he asked, tilting his head.
"I mean like… I dunno… baskets? Small dresser? Something." Corbin shrugged.
“ I think baskets would be more space-saving “ he mentioned.
"Yeah… I'm sure we'll figure something out." Corbin laughed weakly. "It'll be fine."
Cyrus kissed corbins head again “ we always do don't we?”
Corbin flushed red at the kiss and stammered a vague agreement. He raised his wings up to shield his red face, although he wasn't doing a great job of hiding.
Cyrus laughed lightly. Smiling his bright smile.
Corbin whined softly and sighed. "Mmm… we're here." He looked up at his apartment door. "We'll have to get those baskets soon."
“ yeaaah “ he said and walked in. The smell if the apartment was refreshing after being in stores.
Corbin set down the bags on the floor and stretched, humming softly to himself. "Mm… I gotta work today, huh? I don't wannaaaa…"
“ but yooo gotttaaaa, and I have traiinning.” he whined
"I know, I know…" Corbin sighed and flopped down on the couch. "I'm gonna go, I just don't feeeeel like it."
Cyrus got ready for his training exercise “ I hope I'm good to fly..”
"Yeah… try not to hurt yourself any worse, okay? Take it easy."
“ easy isn't a thing in the cadet core.” he said and got ready to leave for training.
"Well, be as careful as you can." Corbin quickly preened himself before heading off to change for work.
“I will,” cyrus said and took flight, feeling a light pinching as he flew.
Corbin headed off to work on his own, settling himself down for another boring few hours.
Cyrus had a rough training, earning quite a few deep cuts, including one right along his cheek. After his training, he tried to get home before corbin could see the cut but he knew that wouldn't happen.
Corbin was late getting home after work, and he looked a bit disheveled and out of it when he came in. He headed to the kitchen immediately and splashed some water on his face with a shaky sigh.
Cyrus came in next. Holding a towel to his face, he tried to walk right past corbin and into the bathroom.
"Cyrus…?" Corbin looked up, his face still wet from the water. "Are you… are you okay?" He asked, rubbing at his face and eyes.
“ huh, yah I’m fine.” He said, coming into the kitchen. He looked Corbin over “ are you? “ he asked with concern “ looks something happened, wanna talk about it?”
"I'm… f-fine." Corbin drew in a wavering breath and closed his eyes, grabbing a paper towel to dry off his face. "Just… um… g-got mugged on the way home…"
“ what!? Corbin that’s not fine!” Cyrus said and pulled Corbin into a hug, squeezing him. Not tightly but enough to feel it. “ I shouldn't have gone to training today…” he mumbled “ were you hurt? Did they do anything to you?” he asked after letting go. At some point he'd taken the small towel off his face and put it down somewhere.
Corbin buried his face in Cyrus' shoulder and clung to him, trying not to cry. "He… h-he pushed me up against the wall and he took my wallet… there… wasn't much in it, b-but still…" He hiccuped and gripped Cyrus a bit tighter. "S-Sorry…"
“ cori it's not your fault. It's mine, I left you alone knowing damn well this could have happened “ he said and held onto corbin. Eventually, Cyrus picked corbin up and sat a long way on the couch, and kicked off his shoes. He stayed there and comforted corbin for however long he needed or wanted. “ either way, it's over now and I'm not leaving your side, everything in that wallet was replaceable, your not. I'm just glad you made it home.”
Corbin nodded weakly and wrapped his wings around himself as he huddled up with Cyrus, keeping his face hidden. "I-I was… I was really scared that h-he would hurt me since I'm p… p-poor, and there isn't much in my wallet…" He whispered. "I f-felt like I was gonna throw up when he finally left with it…"
Cyrus nodded, listening to corbin. He rubbed his back and kept his arms around him. “Understandable, that had to have been a traumatizing moment. “ he spoke softly to Corbin and hummed softly one of his few violin songs. He moved his wings to wrap around them both, the longest feathers just nearly touching.
