“ there's nothing left to say now.”

"Mmm…" Corbin tucked his head under Cyrus' chin, drawing his wings up around himself. "But I don't want you to strain yourself for my sake."

"your not i promise. i just want you safe. its the least i could do for you sticking up for me" cyrus said and rubbed corbins back

Corbin whined softly, pouting. "M-My papa said I was stupid for getting in the way… that I could've been really hurt and the potion was protecting you anyway…"

"yeah,it was..but the thing is you still went out there for me."

Corbin sighed again. "I-I guess so… I just hated seeing him throw you around like that…"

" I know," he ran his fingers though corbins feathers softly, they were incredibly soft.

"Your dad sucks…" Corbin stuck his tongue out a bit, trilling when Cyrus pet his wings.

cyrus gave a soft chuckle at corbins reaction to the touch.

"Mmmmm… can we watch a movie or something?" Corbin asked. "Something stupid… don't wanna think anymore."

" sure," he said and handed Corbin his remote and pulled the smaller onto his chest and he moved onto his back.

Corbin got comfortable and then turned his head so he could watch the screen. He yawned a bit, relaxing against Cyrus.

Cyrus yawned after him, holding Corbin closer.

Eventually, Corbin fell asleep in Cyrus' arms, his hair tumbling over his eyes.

Cyrus kept Corbin on his chest all night, falling asleep shortly after Corbin.

Corbin managed to stay asleep all night, although he stirred uneasily a few times.

Cyrus kept his wings around Corbin whenever he stirred, waking up to comfort him. Needless to say, between getting up to get water and waking up for Corbin he didn't get much sleep

Corbin eventually woke up late into the morning and rubbed at his eyes, still looking pretty sleepy. "Mmmnhh… Cy…?" He asked quietly.

"still alive.." he mumbled, getting back in bed.

"That's good… were you throwing up or did you get up for some other reason?" He asked, curling up with Cyrus again.

" little bit of both.." he mumbled and pulled Corbin back on his chest.

"Mm…" Corbin yawned and relaxed. "Hopefully you'll start feeling better soon."

"Starting to" he mumbled

"That's good… I gotta go to work again today."

"omfg" cyrus mumbled

"What? I have to work." Corbin seemed a bit confused.

" nothing its my wings.. i can't reach my ensizor feathers .." he said half embarrassed.

"Oh… do you want me to help preen them or something?" Corbin asked.

"could you ?" he asked softly

"Yeah, sure." Corbin moved behind Cyrus and started preening his wings.

cyrus stayed perfectly still
