“ there's nothing left to say now.”

"Oh…" Corbin wanted to hug Cyrus and cuddle up with him again, but now seemed tentative and nervous that he would make him uncomfortable. "Okay… u-um… is there anything I can do?"

“ yeah actually, don’t leave me alone..”

"O-Okay… um… can I… can I hug you, then?" Corbin stammered.

“ yeah..” Cyrus answered softly and opened up his arms a bit

Corbin hesitated for a moment before hugging Cyrus and burying his face in his chest.

Cyrus hesitated a bit, letting out a soft chirp as he curled around Corbin

Corbin returned the soft trill and closed his eyes, taking a while to relax again.

Cyrus kissed Corbin’s head “ I’m sorry I flinched..”

"It's okay… I-I know you didn't mean to…" Corbin murmured quietly in reply.

Cyrus wrapped his wings around the two, instant warmth surrounding them.

After a while, Corbin finally managed to fall back asleep in Cyrus' arms.

Corbin stayed asleep for a while, but he eventually whimpered softly in his sleep and curled in on himself, trembling lightly.

Cyrus ran his fingers through Corbin’s hair.

Corbin eventually settled down and opened his eyes, looking up at Cyrus sleepily.

Cyrus gave him a worried look “ you okay?”

"Mmnh…? Y-Yeah… I'm fine…" He replied softly.

“ okay.. he said softly and kissed Corbin’s head.

"What time is it?" Corbin asked after a few minutes.

“ about three..”

"In the morning or afternoon?"

“ morning..” he mumbled and held Corbin closer

"Oh… I guess we should go back to sleep, then…"

“ mm. I don’t know if i can..” he said softly

"Mm…? Why not…?" Corbin asked tiredly.

“ just scared.. I hated every minute I was going through that nightmare..”

"Mm… wanna talk about it?" He asked, yawning and huddling closer.

“ n.not really”

"Alright… anything I can do, then?"

“No, I just need to settle down..” he said and kissed Corbin’s forehead
