Alex trembles, his breathing erratic. He lets out a small whimper, trying to calm down.

Zanna wandered around. She felt weightless, free, and happy.

Flashes, screaming, yelling. Alex curls into a tighter ball, his heart thudding. Sweat beads on his forehead.

Zanna spotted the outline of a red lion. She ran towards it, "You're back!"

Evil laughter, cruel and loud. Echoes of pain run through his body.

The lion purred through her mind. Zanna smiled giddily, "I know."

But suddenly it stopped. All of it stopped. He was there, just standing in the middle of darkness.

Zanna walked up to the lion. She smiled, "I'm so glad you didn't vanish. I feel so bad for Keith."

The lion became sad, they had to let him go. It was necessary.

Alex wakes, his heart beating loudly. He sits up, glancing around at the sleeping outlines of the others.

The lion gave her a sense of waking. Zanna looked at them, "But I don't want to go yet…"

Zanna woke up, fully rested and rejuvenated.

Alex stands, exiting the sleeping others, his footsteps light and quick following the pull in his gut.

Zanna stands up and notices Alex leaving. She shrugs and followed him, wondering if that was why Red woke her up.

Alex makes it to where the Lions are. Black and Red standing next to each other. He stretches his hand out, gently touching the paw of the giant beast. He felt calm, safe.

Zanna saw how he walked to the Black Lion, Maybe Alex is the lions new paladin?

Alex sighs softly, sitting in front of the black lion. "I…I don't know what to do…" he mutters. "I want be able to fight… but I break down so easily…" he mutters.

Zanna walked up to the Red lion. She whispered, "What do you want me to do? Why would you pick me out of everyone?"

Silence from the lion. He looks up, "Look, I know that you've been shut down… but the galaxy need Voltron… Come back…" he says softly.

The red lion sent her a message, it's eyes lighting up as it exited it's slumber. You have proven yourself numerous times. There is no one worthier of being my paladin.

Zanna stepped back in awe as the lion came to life.

Silence. Before, Enter, black paladin. Know that the responsibility of your team is on your shoulders.

Zanna entered the red lion. It felt natural and right. She grinned wildly.

He enters, his heart thudding. He takes a breath, easing himself. Calm down…

Zanna sat down in the pilots chair and watched as it came to life.

Alex sighs softly and sits, getting comfortable.

Zanna grabbed the controls and listened as the lion roared, "Whoo hoo!"

Zanna turned on the outre comms, "Hi Gwen!"

The black lions roars to life, and he starts, nearly falling out of his chair. He takes a breath and focuses. He wanted a mental link with his lion before he jumped into anything.
