We're All a Little Mad // OxO // Closed

Aliana looked up at him to see his frowning face. She grew worried, but made no comment.

"What even happened?" Hatta asked slowly.

"I, I don't know," Aliana responded quietly, "I, I woke up in there and, and nothing else happened. At least that I know of. He, he didn't do anything to me while I was awake."

Hatta clenched his jaw. "Right. Alright."

Aliana let out a sigh and leaned into Hatta further, "I'm fine, Hatta. I, I'm fine."

Hatta nodded. He picked her up, holding her close.

Aliana made a little yelp not expecting to be picked up. She didn't complain and held onto Hatta tightly.

Hatta kissed her cheek. "We're staying at the inn here tonight. You aren't in any condition to walk."

Aliana hummed and let her head rest again him, "I, okay."

Hatta held her, heading towards the inn. "I'm so sorry."

"It wasn't your fault," Aliana responded to him softly.

"Still." He replied, shaking his head a little bit.

"You, you did what you could okay?" Aliana looked up at him her eye big, "So don't beat yourself up over this."

"Yeah, but…but what if i hadn't been able to find you?"

"But you did," Aliana responded softly, "I, he said I was supposed to be bait. So, so I think he would have lead you to me."

"Yeah…but bait for what?" he asked slowly."

"He," Aliana took a deep breath, "He wants, he wants us to kill the, the Jabberwocky. And then he wants to kill you Hatta."

Hatta went still for a moment. "That's…oh. Wow."

Aliana nodded and leaned into Hatta nuzzling against him, "I, I won't let it happen."

Hatta kissed her cheek softly. "Yeah…"

Aliana hummed and smiled at him.

Hatta smiled back at her.

Aliana buried her head against him. She hoped it wouldn't come down to him or her.

Hatta held her close as he walked.

Aliana let out a soft sigh as she held onto him tightly, "Are, are we almost there?"

Hatta nodded. "Almost."

Aliana smiled and leaned her head on him, "Good. Do, do you have anything for rope burns? I, I'm worried I might have some."

Hatta nodded. "I think I might." he replied softly.

Aliana nodded, her voice small, "Okay."

Hatta held her gently, walking towards the inn.
