Jax glared at him over his shoulder, his mood swinging as if an over-brave eight-year-old was on it. He harrumphs again.

"mmmmm." He urrrmed disinterestedly. "Suuuure you willl. Remember that time we were robbing a grocery store and I didn't do anything? I didn't get anything then."

Jax hopped up, his anger turning his face red. "Oh really?" His voice was suddenly soft, but it was shaking with rage.

Something dark falls over Jax's face. "You need not." (He majored in English apparently. Actually that fits those guys are fucking intense.) He glared down at him. "I'm leaving, then, since I'm just so useless. How about you rob a damn bank by yourself?" The question was thicker and louder, as if he'd just come down with a cold, or got something lodged in his throat. He suddenly turned on his heel and fled into the darkening forest, and since he was lithe, small and fast, he disappeared from sight quickly.
