"Sounds like a plan." She agreed.

Havenwood rose. “Alright, let’s go, then.”

"Coming…" She hummed, picking Thelisi up and getting to her feet after him.

They traveled across the gorge carefully and a few steps away was Apollo’s neat two story house.
Havenwood strolled up, knocked and walked inside. The house opened up to a foyer area where they put shoes.

"Is he here?" She asked, looking around.

Havenwood shrugged and lead them into the living room, then started backing up, his wide shoulders covering Elise’s view.
“Elise, we’ll come back later.”

"Okayyy…" Elise raised an eyebrow. Everything okay?

Yeeees. Apollo is just living in the living room… nothing disgustingly nasty yet…

Whaddya mean by that? The eyebrows go higher.

Nevermind. Let’s just go. He turned once they were back in the foyer and opened the door.

Elise stepped out, waiting for him to follow. "Seriously, what was it?"

“Exactly what I said. He invited one of his guy-friends over and was…” He winced, wishing he hadn’t seen it at all.

"So Apollo's…" Gay?

“Yes. Apollo is gay.” Havenwood rolled his eyes. “It was pretty obvious.”

"Alright, then." Elise rolled hr shoudlers and began to walk with him.

Havenwood sighed and ran a hand along her back. “I’m sure they’ll leave soon. Then we can go back and eat.”

"Okay." She leaned into him as they walked, sighing.

Thelisi cooed from between them, waving his arms. He grabbed Havenwood’s hair but didn’t tug, just held.

"Do you want to hold him?" Elise asked.

Havenwood chuckled. “I think he’s walking me.”

"The bugger tries. I think willpower suits him." She giggled.

Havenwood chuckled. “Yes, doesn’t it?”
Thelisi squeaked and pointed in a direction, tugging on Havenwood’s hair.

"Oh, goodness, what is it now?"

Havenwood looked over. “I dunno…”
Thelisi giggled and kicked his legs around.

"Strange." She mumbled, but a smile returned to her face at the sight of her child so happy.

Thelisi tugged on Havenwood’s hair again, pointing in another direction.
“Ah- to the Gods, child, what do you want?”

"He probably sees a squirrel, or something." Elise looked around.

Nothing. Thelisi giggled evilly at their confusion.

Elise raised an eyebrow at the two of them in turn.

Havenwood gave Elise a look and continued walking.
