Havenwood grinned. “Can you say Mummy?”

"That works." Elise giggles.

Havenwood giggled too. “Mummy.”

"He's trying." Elise fetched her pizza from the oven, letting it cool off.

“Mummy.”
“Muuuuuuuueeeeemeee?”

She takes a bite into her pizza, watching the other two interact with a smile.

“Mummy.”
“Muuuuuuuumeeee!”

She stifled a laugh as she finished her pizza. "Date night, remember."

Havenwood glanced up. “Right! Should we drop him off now?”

"Sure."

"Sure. I can go." Elise got up from behind the counter and picked her son up.

Havenwood looked up at her. “I’ll get comfy, yeah?” He smirked.

Elise rolled her eyes. “You do you. I’ll be back.” She opened the door and left with a sigh.

Havenwood stretched out on the couch when she left, suddenly grabbing his right hip, which growled in a flash of pain.
“Fuck… shit hurts…”

After Thelisi was in the safe care of Athena, Elise opened the door again and sidled in.

Havenwood took his hand off of his hip. “Welcome back.”

“Thanks.” She grinned, sitting down next to him.

Havenwood reached up for her. “Commieeerr”

Elise smiled and laid down next to him.

Havenwood wrapped his arms around her and pulled her up on top of him. His hip seared in protest but he ignored it.

“Hello, handsome.” Elise grinned.

He grinned too. “Hello, sexy. Don’t see you around here often.”

She raised an eyebrow and grinned. “You don’t, hmm?”

Havenwood smirked. “No, I’m kind of surprised to see someone like you here in this dump.”

She rolled her eyes. “It is not a dump. Now shut up and kiss me.”

Havenwood laughed and connected their lips. He smiled into the kiss, as happy as can be.
