Havenwood tilted his head. “I think Lewis and Clark were two different people.”

"I know. Perhaps he'll be the Sacagawea of the living room floor instead."
“But Sacagawea was a female!” Havenwood blinked confusedly.
"Well, what other great American male explorers do you have in mind?" Elise raised an eyebrow, a challenging smile on her face.
“I don’t know!” Havenwood gave a shrug.
"Exactly. Besides, Sacagawea was cool." Elise shrugged.
Havenwood laughed gently. “I know she was, but Thelisi isn’t a woman!”
"What else am I gonna call him?" Elise asks stubbornly.
Havenwood shrugged. “I dunno. Not a woman’s name.”
Elise rolled her eyes. "I suppose plain old 'bugger' will do, then."
Havenwood laughed. “Explorer Bugger of the Large Carpet.”
"That works too," Elise replied, chuckling.
Havenwood chortled with her, gazing down at his smol. “He’s so cute.”
"I know, isn't he?"
Havenwood picked up the smol, who made a gentle squeaking noise. “Awwww!”
"Well, don't squeeze him too hard." Elise mumbled, grinning.
“I know how to handle my child, Elise.” Havenwood kissed the smol’s nose.
"I know you do." She leaned against him lovingly.
Thelisi squealed whenever Havenwood kissed his nose.
Havenwood glanced down at Elise and set the smol down on his lap, then wrapped an arm around her.
"I love you," She murmurs, smiling at the two.
Havenwood hummed gently. “I love you too.”
"I know." She laughed softly.
Havenwood laughed too. “You’d better.”
"How could I not, with all that you do to prove it?"
Havenwood tilted his head. “What have I done to prove it?”
"Ah, so many things."
“Say themm I’m curious.”
"Well, you're going to marry me."
“Well, yeah. Another!”
"You had Thelisi with me. You kiss me a lot, which I like." She grins sheepishly.
