Tia bit back her surprise that Alanna still knew her, but not her best friend. Calm down… calm down… "We have to find a way to fix this," she said. When she spoke, her voice was tight.

Ferran nodded. "Where do you think we should start?"

"How should I know?" Tia snapped, then breathed deeply. "I'm sorry. Just… really tense right now…"

"I know I feel the same way." He sighed. "I say that Daveed is our best bet."
(So I'm thinking he's like the villain of the town.)

Tia couldn't help but snort. "No way, he's too arrogant and cocky," she protested.

"Is he our only option?" Silene clenched her jaw. "Because if he is then, I could try and make him a little less annoying." She gestured to the cookies.

“But theyre my cookies now,” Alanna said, eating another.

Tia went to smack Alanna's arm away, but just as she was about to make the impact, her hand vanished. It reappeared on the other side of Alanna's arm. Tia grabbed her wrist and stumbled backward, her shoulder blades crashing into the wall. Her mouth was open with shock.

"I'll make a new batch." Silene smiled, pulling out her notebook and jotting down needed ingredients.

Silene glanced up from her notebook. "What just happened?" Her eyes wide with confusion.

“Don’t ruin my house, otherwise I’m kicking you out.” Alanna said, completely unaware that Tia’s band vanished and reappeared.

Tia covered her mouth with her non-disappearing hand, still too shocked to say anything.

Ferran took a few steps forward. "Oh my gosh…"

"You saw that… right?" Tia dropped her hand and whispered.

"Yeah…" He reached out and tried to touch Silene's shoulder. It went straight through. "Uh…."

Silene gasped. "What?" She turned to face Ferran, her face twisted with fear.
