“Oh, hey.” Alanna grinned.

Silene extended both of her arms, presenting Alanna with the container. "I made cookies."

Ferran waited nervously on the couch. "Who is it Alanna?"

“Aw, thank you!” Alanna gushed, taking the container and looking at it fondly. Then she called to Ferran, “It’s Silene.”

"Oh…" Panic washed over him.

"Hmm. You've got company?" Silene tried to crane her neck through the doorway. "Do I know them?"

Ferran blushed. "Slilene it's me…."

“It’s Ferran,” Alanna said absentmindedly, opening the container.

Silene narrowed her eyes. "Who?" She racked her mind for any memory of the name.

Ferran took a deep breath. "Okay you don't remember me…"

“Ferran, our classmate, childhood friend?”

Silene looked at the ground. "Class….childhood…friend." She muttered to herself in confusion.
She glanced at him apologetically. "I-I'm sorry, I usually remember these types of things."

Ferran was almost tearing up. "I was the first person you met….."

Silene chewed her lip anxiously, feeling the sadness radiating off of him. She glanced at the container an pulled out a cookie. "Have one." She offered.

Alanna awkwardly chewed her cookie.

He sighed. "Thanks."
(Okay wacky story time: One of my friends is an eight year old boy and he always sniffs his food before eating it like, he takes a piece, sniffs it discreetly, and then eats it like nothing happened it's weird…..)
