"Lovely," Seafra mumbled, taking a stumbling step forward. "Don't let them find me."

Tessa readied her bow and was about to shoot, when some yelling startled her and threw the arrow off course where it landed near a group of teens. Omg are they ok? She panicked and ran over. "Hi, sorry." She quickly apologized.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" He gestured to the arrow. "Were you tryin to kill me?"

Arrelum smiled at the newcomer. "No problem, we're all fine. My friend was overreacting. But, it would be possibly quite safer if you avoided firing your arrows into groups of people." they said politely.

"Sorry, a friend scared me and it threw my arrow off course, I didn't mean too, sorry." She apologized once again.

"Ah that's okay, just aim better next time and hit me right between the eyes."

Tessa looked shocked. "B-but It'll kill you." She stammered not knowing what to say.

"Exactly." Uriah rolled his eyes. Some people just don't get casual fatalistic humor….

Tessa took a minute to process what he said. "I'm sorry if that was a joke, I can never get those things and elves are usually very strict. I'm sorry." She apologized once again.

"Stop apologizing you're fine!"

"Elves…" Seafra leaned heavily against a tree. "I know elves…."

Arrelum eyed Seafra out of the corner of their eye. "Are you alright? You keep zoning out." they asked.

"What about them?"

Seafra gave a sardonic smile. "Sleep deprivation. Too much running. Not enough resting. Fearing for my own life. One's own blood turned against them. I'm fine, thank-you."

"Sounds sick." Uriah nodded. "Anywho, we should head on over to my place now."

Tessa felt hurt. She knew she was never going to fit in with the others. She apologized again before picking up her arrow and started walking away.

"No wait!" Uriah started after her. "You can come with us."

"Come with us," Seafra called. "Elves are good to have around always."

Tessa immediately brighten up. "Really? I mean I've never been outside the forest before." She replied excited.

"Yeah! We're heading to my place for food!"

"Um ok then." She said and put her arrow back in her quiver. "So what are your names? I'm Tessa." She introduced herself.

"I'm Uriah." Uriah bowed.

Arrelum saluted. "Arrelum of East Wood, at your service."

( I have to go, sorry.)

"It's going to be great fun bringing you into the city for the first time. I'll introduce you to some of my favourite things!" Arrelum cheerfully told Tessa.
