Lixian texts Reo. did you get it?

No. . . I couldn’t get it. He wanted to ID me. I didn’t want to get arrested. I said I left it at home.

Lixian grumbles, then puts his phone away.

Reo bites his lip, feeling bad. He hesitates, biting his lip and then starts to head to his parents house.

(Reo- what are you doing?)
(Do you mind being his mom or dad? Mom is like Alice and Dad is super strict and law abiding)

Reo’s mom was out on the porch, sitting in a rocking chair and reading.

Reo looks at himself, making sure his shoulder was covered by his shirt, walking up to the porch.

(He hasn’t been home in weeks)

Reos mom looks up and smiles, “Oh honey!” She stands and hugs him. “My baby! It’s been so long!”

He winces, “Gentle, Mam.” He hugs her beck.

(Yes, he calls he Mam- no ma’am, but Mam- XDD)

She kisses his forehead, then huffs. “I missed you, my baby…”

He smiles, “I missed you too Mam, I’ve just been busy.” Dealing with a crazy guy who will being yelling at me one moment and then snuggling me the next. . .

She gasps, “Too busy for your Mam?!” She grins.

He laughs, “Yeah. . .” He rubs the back of his neck, “I. . . May have found someone. . .” He murmurs.

She blinks, then grins. “Oh? Who?”

Reo looks down, “Just someone I met a while ago. . .”

She hums, “Are they nice?”

Reo shifts on his feet, looking down.

(No, I have this big ass bruise on my shoulder from when he threw a remote at me)

She frowns, “Now why would you stay with someone who isn’t nice?”

Reo shifts slightly, “I-I like him, Mam. . .”

She sighs, “Why?”

“I. . . Don’t know. . . I just do.”

She shakes her head. “Well…just know that I don’t like the idea of my baby being mistreated. And if they hurt you, you can bet your Mam is gonna go kick some butt.”

Reo stays silent.

She blinks, then growls. “Oh no. No no no. I will not sit around and let someone hurt my baby.”

Reo looks at her, “Mam-“

She shakes her head. “Absolutely not!”

Reo huffs, “Mam. It’s fine. It’s not that bad.”

She grumbles, “Still…I can’t believe anyone would hurt my baby.” She crosses her arms.

Reo looks down, “I don’t think he does it on purpose. . .”

She huffs, “Really? So he happens to just hurt you on accident?”

So accepting-

He shrugs slightly, “I— I don’t know. . .”
