There's also scissoring and jacking off two dicks at the same time but I'm not sure if that counts
Let's Talk The Birds & The Bees >>> (Mature Rating - For Authors Serious About Sensitive Scenes)
Oh huh… I think that would just be the 'traditional' gay/lez sex yea?
Also Idk if I should be censoring certain words so forgive my random names for things.
Lmao it’s fine
Oh shit should I be censoring too?
It took me longer than it should have to figure out what you meant by "lez" lmao
I honestly have no idea. Im gonna go with: maybe just the super intense words.
It took me longer than it should have to figure out what you meant by "lez" lmao
Lesbians around the world giggled. XD

Thanks Eris!
Also if anyone wants a good video on the dos and don't of writing sex scenes, the YouTuber Jenna Moreci did a really good one on Valentine's Day that covers stuff like 'sex things in books/movies that aren't as sexy irl' and 'the degrees of writing sex scenes' and it's just a good video in general to check out.
Just FYI - literally nothing about the act itself is sexy. XD
It's intimate and awesome and kinda funny.

Oh God this is so awkward
So besides the basic stuff, what happens during sex? Is it just putting stuff in places or is there like….more?
From what I understand, there can also be a lot of kissing and touching. Kinks are also a thing.

Idk if this is too on-the-nose but what's the difference between a kink and a fetish?
Isn't a fetish something that turns one on and a kink is something one likes to do during sex?
well fetishes are more objects from what I've seen? and then kinks are just like the methods the character enjoys (rough, biting, that sort of thing)
Fetish: obsession with a specific thing that can be both sexual or nonsexual, though mainky leans towards the former (ex. cleaning)
Kink: extra enjoyment during sex by doing or using something (ex. biting)
Eyyyy I got it right!
That's my basic understanding of it though. I could be wrong, of course.

Thank you!

A general question:
What is one thing that's often misrepresented/ignored/overemphasized in sex scenes in books?
The awkwardness
Idk I feel like some things might hurt
The actual distribution of pleasure? Tho this is coming from the person who hardly sees smut in books…
honestly I'd say just the lack of info. all the brief smut in the books I've read have just been ridiculously misinformed and forced
Ahhhhhhhhhh a few things actually
- sex is kinda awkward and funny. People are bumping into each other, accidental hair pulling, knee to the face, things are making strange sounds…. XD That is always downplayed or totally gone from books, which makes for a better smut scene but also makes it less….human.
- female orgasms can be explosive but not usually and especially not for virgins. Also it takes a long time for a women to get there. Way longer than a man ever really puts in because they finish quicker than you can say orgasm. Which can make smut scenes hard because you dont want it to last chapters on end.
- Foreplay is way way overused. Sometimes you literally just go at it.
- Guys 300000000% usually always fall asleep afterward. Like straight dead to the world. Girls on the other hand sometimes get really energized and jazzed. It's weird. (Low key we actually may be succubi.)
hmmmm that's all I can think of for now. It's been a minute since I read a smut scene.
Thanks eris lmao
I gotchu
Can that's actually helpful thanks
Damn* not can, it isn't letting me edit the post sorry
