Faust doesn't really care to divulge information on his past and history, offering usually that he was born in Vitrolun to a single mother that he remembers nothing of other than what was told to him of her. Less personal things however he doesn't mind telling too much on.
Like how he decided to build and open a tavern, or how he gained an interest in wine and ale making or music. Anything else he'll laugh and brush off, accusations of being "too mysterious" or "shady" are dealt with the same way. It's just the way he prefers it. No one /needs/ to know anything about him so him offering even the tiniest bit is generous enough in his eyes.
