Absentminded strums whatever instrument he may be holding, if he's not holding any then he will mess with his nails, mostly does this when he's zoning out.

Yinric is pretty vain, though in his mind he has ample reason to be.

Playing instruments and singing ofc. Writing songs. Studying plants and drawing, though he doesn't really put effort in these as his main focus is music.

Yinric is very outgoing. It's very easy for him to befriend people in short times. Leave him in a tavern and come back half an hour later and he'll have everyone around him chatting away.

Yinric doesn't really remember much about his early life. He was raised in an orphanage though he doesn't really remember why he was there and without parents, though he chalks it up to them becoming ill or being killed by the beasts, and not really liking the caretakers as they would constantly shush him and generally stop him from acting out.

He left the orphanage around twelve having been taken to work for a man in return for a roof over his head and food in his stomach, not something he really had much in a say in truly but he didn't mind the man seemed kind and it was somewhere other than the hall he had been in for most of his life.

It was while working for the man that he would find his passion for music. There was a bard that would frequent the man's tavern that he admired. It was thanks to this bard allowing the boy to watch them play he found what he wanted to do in life, he wanted to be someone who dedicated their life to trying to trying to bring some joy to the grim world they lived in even if it was for a fleeting night.
Whenever he wasn't cleaning or taking orders Yinric was right beside the bard either watching them perform or being taught how to play. This carried on for years until he was fifteen and the bard had felt he had learnt enough that he should try to perform, and perform he did. That performance was what he needed to truly cement his belief that his goal in life wasn't just a childish dream, when he saw all the eyes on him completely engrossed in his performance he knew right then and there that performing is what he was meant for.

Now Yinric is a well known bard all over as he continues to travel around doing his best to lighten people's nights with his performances. Every time he sees someone's eyes brighten when he performs it makes the harsh and dangerous travel worth it.
So does the money, attention, and adoration but that's hush hush.
