Petrel is a large, slightly chubby male IceWing dragonet. His scales are slate blue with wide rosettes. He has a darker back stripe and a lighter underbelly. Petrel's wing membranes are baby blue and his eyes are sapphire blue. He wears a gold horn ring and a fine black leather pouch containing sleeping potions.

Petrel has friendly mannerisms for everyone. He tries to be friendly with dragons even if they are dangerous. Once they pose a threat to his family and friends, Petrel would be distrustful and disappointed.

Alexandrite is one of his motivations in life, thus making them great friends. He also wishes to help any dragon in need and will do anything to help a lost traveler. However, he hides from the rebellion.

Petrel is a friendly, humble, and soft-hearted IceWing. He's very kind and would love to help anyone in need (although others may take advantage of him). However, Petrel is bashful and becomes nervous around strangers- especially around other IceWings. Petrel tends to eat a lot and thus may be a little lazy. Nonetheless, Petrel is very generous and gives more than the expected amount of scales.

Petrel can be gullible and thus easy to manipulate. He isn't very smart and can be very bashful to strangers. Although Petrel has thick scales, he is peaceful and quite easy to defeat in battle.

Petrel has a prejudice against anyone associated with the rebellion (or his sister Shiver), large dragons, and any dragon with the name Lightning or Thunder.

Petrel is talented with potions and dyes. He's capable of making beautiful, bright colors. Petrel is also talented with identifying gemstones although Alexandrite is better than him.

Petrel enjoys hanging out with Alexandrite, making potions and dyes, swimming, and sleeping in soft things as a hobby.

Petrel is neutral good, believing doing the right thing requires some rules to be broken.

Petrel's favorite animal is the snow petrel.

Petrel currently does not have a job.

Alexandrite - The two have a best friend bond. They're often found together, finding gems and burying them for other dragons to find, hunting, and exploring. Petrel trusts Alexandrite and vice versa. The two dragonets are loyal to each other and would give up their lives for each other, knowing the other would do the same. Petrel loves giving her silly nicknames to merely annoy her.

Icecap - Petrel doesn't mind Icecap. In fact, he quite enjoys the dragonet's presence and would let him come along in their adventures. Petrel has a sort of older brotherly relationship with Icecap.

Shiver - Petrel dislikes and slightly fears Shiver. They have a rocky relationship, with Shiver calling him hurtful nicknames. This caused Petrel to have a bashful personality. Petrel still cares about Shiver, even if she's cruel to Petrel.

Petrel learned from his father at a young age, since he was destined to be the next leader.

Petrel was born to a rebellion leader who was against the IceWing queen and their laws in general. Growing up, the rebellion was constantly on the move so it was difficult for Petrel to make friends. He had an older sister named Shiver, who he disliked and Shiver disliked him back. This was because he was the heir to the leadership if anything happened to his father.

However, Petrel never wanted to be the leader. One night, he escaped under the darkness with the help of a NightWing called Quickthinker. He resided in the mountains until a dragonet by the name of Alexandrite found him. They became fast friends, often hunting and exploring. They would find jewels and bury them for other dragons to find.

Petrel doesn't have any pets.

"Mind if I live in this cave? I mean I understand if this is your secret cave to wallow whenever your parents start to fight- not that I'm implying all parents fight. Oh seals and penguins no, I wouldn't imagine everyone fighting all the time. I'm also not implying /my/ own parents fight!"
"I'm Snow Petrel- I'd prefer if you called me Petrel though. Snow Petrel is quite a mouthful, don't you think? Besides, the word 'Snow' with everything is kind of boring. Like Snow Puffin, Snow Leopard, Snow... alright you probably get the idea by now."
"Hello! You're probably Icecap... right? Icecap is a pretty cool name! Heh, no pun intended. That name seriously gives me the chills- whoops did I made another pun?"
