Unlike the other adopted children in the Monroe family, Alyssa has no memory of her past. All she knows is that she woke up in an alleyway with fang marks on her shoulder and with Everett Worther by her side. She could remember that the year was 1968, but she couldn't remember any prior event, and Everett refused to tell her. She's the youngest of the Monroe family "kids" and by far the most enthusiastic. Although she still craves to join the Reborn, she's the most content with the Monroe's plan of moving from city to city, as she's been a vampire for the shortest amount of time.
