She was born in Isaedia to a single mother who was very poor. When she was twelve, her mother became sick and died. She was left to wander the streets as her house became the property of the Winterbourne Court. She hopped from strangers' houses and searched for work. When she was thirteen she was noticed by Talia Hadley, the owner of House of Thorns, a place for courtesans and prostitutes. Hadley noticed Farya's beauty and took her in to be her apprentice. Farya took the offer because she needed constant food and a place to stay, both were offered. She grew and developed she became one of Hadley's most promising courtesans. Hadley kept Farya next to her side at all times, grooming her into a prodigy and waiting until she turned sixteen to put her to use.
