Employs ranged attack only if necessary, to weaken, or as a finisher. Endures enemy attacks with minimal attempt at evasion, then utilizes close-ranged brute force. Either unaware of or willfully disregards humans.

Survival, territory. Asserting dominance.

Incredible damage resistance. Immense strength. Accelerated healing factor, empowered while on soil. Heat-resistant. Fireproof. Fire breath. "Flame Bullet", a highly explosive molten ball covered in plasma and electrically charged.

Goliath was one of the first modern-day kaiju to be encountered. His strength and resilience are practically legendary, and his molten breath feared. His massive, horned frame is one of the most-recognizable to humanity, and any appearance he makes is met with a wave of stunned silence.

Despite this familiarity, very little of Goliath is actually understood. His diet appears to consist primarily of rock, despite his sharp teeth. Destruction of man-made structures are rare, and it is rarer still that he enters cities. When dead-set on arrival to a specific location, however, he will allow little to stand in his way. He has been observed to battle with other kaiju, currently postulated to be driven by territorial disputes.

Like most kaiju, Goliath's origins are unclear. His stone-like form lends itself to originating deep within the earth, a hypothesis aided by his heat-based abilities. Another theory is his being extraterrestrial - arriving from another star during the early days, perhaps to take control of the planet. Still another theory is he is a construct, crafted and given life through a forgotten method.

Regardless of his true nature, Goliath is a strong reminder of how the world has changed.

Very bulky, muscular biped made of weathered stone, with a strong upright posture, but its tail dragging on the ground.

Actual head is somewhat disproportionately small but heavy. Head has a large, wide fan-shaped horn on each side; horns are articulated, flaring out when above ground, and folding against the neck to function as an armored spade when preparing to burrow. Eyes are yellow and almost resemble a lion's. Jaws are jagged and shaped like a snapping turtle's, but there are small, sharp teeth located inside the mouth. Each shoulder is bulky, with a pair of large, jagged stalagmites as spikes. Hands have four clawed digits, including thumbs. Legs are stocky and reverse jointed, with stalagmite-topped knees. Feet are large and sport four clawed digits. Tail is long and thick. Its back and tail have layered stone plates. Running down its back to 2/3 the tail's length are two rows of cone-shaped stalagmite growths; these growths start small, but get progressively larger, and then smaller again. There are clumps of moss on various parts of the body.

There are dark fault lines on the joints, between pectoral and abdominal muscle carvings, and in the gaps between the layered rock plates of his back.
