History
It was believed only a matter of time before far more powerful and resilient kaiju would reveal themselves. As the frequency and scale of attacks escalated, and concern over the kaiju dubbed "Goliath" increased, government scientists began collaborating on a method to better combat the kaiju menace. After years of strenuous research and development, the GDF believed they'd at last created the answer: a three-manned, transforming mobile weapons platform, dubbed "MGR David."
Its treads were designed to allow full control over virtually any terrain, while also being quick when necessary. With its quartet of drills, the MGR David is capable of burrowing and underground travel at 60 km/h. As its drills were constructed to deal with most minerals, they are also excellent for goring targets. Its rear-mounted twin auto-cannon can rotate 360°, and has surprising firepower for its size. Its robot mode, standing 110 meters tall, was armed with as many long-ranged weapons as could be managed, including new maser-type technology.
Despite all this, the MGR David has yet to actually see proper use, owing at least partially to its projected high maintenance costs should it suffer damage.
Notes
TANK MODE
A stylized tank comprised of two main portions. The base is built similarly to an actual tank, albeit much larger and bulkier. The armored skirt is somewhat rounded, and has a dome-shaped attachment on each side with a pair of tube-shape openings on the tank's front side. Atop the hull's center is a massive and bulky construct of metal, serving as a turret in place of an actual one. This turret has a large conical drill attached to its front, and a bulky, spherical attachment to its left and right. The spheres in turn each have a long conical drill on their front sides, and openings on their undersides housing one limb each. The limbs coming from the undersides are bulky, almost resembling somewhat stubby arms, and end in dark gray, conical drill heads that rest below the larger ones.

ROBOT MODE
The front half of the tank has turned upright, serving as a torso, with a number of grooves on its "chest" and a dome at its center. It has also revealed a robotic head, its only facial features being a pair of rhombus-shaped light fixtures for eyes, and a conical drill for a nose or beak. Attached to the head's sides are a pair of plates shaped like a shark's dorsal fin, each tipped with an antenna. The drills from the tank's underside now take the place of hands, attached to the sides by thick metal arms. The tank's treads have shifted to serve as legs, with the treads proper remaining on the ground as feet. The tank's turret now points behind it, serving as a short tail. The drills that were on the tank's hull now rest against the mech's new shoulders, traditionally pointing up, but can be shifted to take the place of its arms should the latter be rendered inoperable.
Drills on arms and against shoulders are comprised of three pieces, which can split open. Its arms' drills house and can fire drill-tipped "Spiral Missiles," while its secondary drills are plasma cannons.
