He puts on a decent show but it's not hard to tell that he's uncomfortable in social situations.

Argent is currently stuck in an in-between place where, having lost his original motivation- is searching for new purpose. Outside of keeping Oz out of trouble, worrying about Tara and avoiding all manner of social obligation, he's not really sure why he's here.

Tends to have a negative outlook where he himself is concerned.

Argent's fight or flight instinct almost always lands on flight: get out as fast as possible with as little damage done (physical or mental) to all parties. His outlook on life is more positive than it was when he was human, though he tends to be a pessimistic realist most of the time. He's intelligent, and his manner of speaking reflects that. (big words turn him on)
He spends a lot of time trying to diffuse situations and coast below the line of sight. Big, serious emotions are somewhat new to him: he didn't have a lot of time on Earth 1 for that.
Unsurprisingly, he's unwavering in his loyalty and is willing to warp and manipulate his own morals to help those closest to him.
Doesn't like to be touched by strangers, but is oddly affectionate with whomever he's currently intimate with.

Politically, Argent had some fairly strong opinions about his home country of North Korea, but Hell's politics are kind of hard to grasp.

He's finding a lot of agreement's in Tara's concern with the current system though...

High school, but don't let that fool you

Argent was born as Kim Yeong-Jin smack in the middle of North Korea to a half blood mother and a fully Korean father. Considering the rough political situation of the country, it's no surprise that his parents attempted to flee with Argent across the border when he was approximately seven. The overall escape was a success, but for three years it was continuously living whilst looking over their shoulders, never staying in once place long and not leaving a lot of time for forge relationships.

All this led to Argent being a very quiet, serious child with no friends and no clue of how life worked outside of living in slums and hoping that people in uniforms never appeared at the front door.

When he was twelve, soldiers in uniform did show up at his front door, arresting his parents and removing them to a concentration camp back on the North side of the border. Argent narrowly avoided capture by hiding under the floorboards, but would grow to resent himself for not putting up more of a fight. This driving force would push him to pursue education at a local school, where a professor- gifted with computers and eager to share his wealth- would introduce Argent to technology and the world of hacking.

High school was more of a casual interest to Argent than an actual pursuit by this point. At fifteen he could have already been in college, but higher education asked more questions, and Argent had no background to provide and quite frankly was happy to coast under the line of detection as he honed his hacking skills. He joined the judo club to pass time and appear normal, but outside of school he was trying to take down North Korea from the inside out, all while searching camps for his parents.

It wasn't until graduating and taking a job as security at a local night club that he began to make friends. The dancers tended to take on mothering or sister like rolls, and relied on him until he found himself relying on them in turn. He still remained obsessed with finding his parents, but for the first time since losing them he had some semblances of a normal life.

Enter the North promptly ruining that: one of the dancers, also an escapee from the North, had made contact with her parents, revealing her location and leading the soldiers right to her. They came for her at the nightclub, starting a riot in the streets and leading to Argent suffering several cracked ribs in an attempt to pry her away from the North vehicles.

His life in ruins once more, Argent found himself fed up with academia's lack of answers or solutions, and took a wild shot in the dark: if human methods wouldn't work, perhaps the occult had something to offer instead.

What Argent didn't realize was that while he was pleading to get his family back, his underlying wish was to take down the North. Ultimately, he was looking for dramatic change, and in summoning a demon he accidentally got Tara, the High Demon of Chaos. She agreed to his terms: the location of the concentration camp where his family was being kept, and a small piece of her power to take it down in exchange for his soul after he died.

This is the part where things went horribly wrong.
