Aside from her duties as the ruler of Cas-Kiria, Yariel is most motivated by her academic curiosity, particularly in the histories and economics. This usually manifests in endeavors to advance her sovereign lands through her connections with other brilliant minds around Vagapariña.

Yariel has an instilled prejudice against the Vaeldic peoples as national enemies of Vagapariña. However, she also heavily looks down on those who live on half-truths and mal-knowledge, and in working to fully educate herself (and in meeting one of her future husbands, the Vaeldic Aurus), she has had the former prejudices frequently challenged and brought to question, though this does not mean she has rid of it entirely or actively works against it in others.
