Alessandro - Italian origin, meaning "defender of the people".

Tex - Derives from the word "Texas", which then derives from the word "Tejas" which means "friend". In his case, he picked the name fron the Old Country where cowboy culture was said to originate.

Tex - What everyone thinks his real name is, a name he adopted when he learned about the Old Country and the "country" named Texas.

The Cowboy - Very uncreative name given to him by Rooney.

• Stubborn. He will never admit when he's wrong, he will just brush it off. He's also not great at apologizing.




• Insensitive and blunt. He doesn't think about how what he says will affect other people. He usually doesn't mean anything by what he says, he's just being honest, but it comes off as rude and mean.




• Cold, distant, and reserved. He is not good at showing his emotions, due to always having temporary family/friends. He's very closed off, definitely a "you never asked." kind of person.




• Bossy. He can be controlling because he always likes being the leader of every situation. This is why he butts heads with Rooney and Cyrille so often, because they think the same way. Although he doesn't like doing what other people say, he won't deviate from a plan if it's logical and makes enough sense.




• Can be overly protective and paranoid, but this is mostly only toward Benny.

He immediately dislikes and distrusts almost anyone who is from a Circuit-run region (Novathres and Descent), and he is skeptical of anyone from anywhere else that isn't Alvanya.

• He's a sharpshooter and he KNOWS it. He occasionally shows off, but so subtly that you wouldn't guess he was doing it on purpose.

His hobby is his job, he loves putting together different types of guns. He also loves exploring (within reason) and... committing minor crimes.

He never went to school, he always got his knowledge from whatever books he could find in random libraries.

Tex spent his entire life in the west, and had only ever been outside to Descent (after its takeover when he was 11). He never had a family, and really only bounced from place to place. Everywhere he went was temporary. He somehow survived just with his wits and fighting.

He taught himself how to handle guns when he was 13, and started doing hustles around the populated towns of Limbo for money. He would work as a gun manufacturer and occasionally a hitman. Once he'd become accustomed to the kill, he'd start working more as a hitman for shady gang bosses and rogue cowboys.
This is also around the time he was really getting into the history of the world, using all of his free time to go to libraries and read every book he could find about the Old Country and Texas. Sometimes he would even steal them and keep them in his bags, even when he knew he didn't have room. He realized eventually that he would need an alias and couldn't use his real name for all of this organized crime (at least not if he ever wanted to make it to Alvanya). That's when he started using the name Tex, after his favorite region from the Old Country.

When he was 16, he went to a local bar in the small town he was in (there are no drinking laws in Limbo). He met someone he immediately loved. His name was Beau, and they got close really quickly. They did EVERYTHING together, Traveled, fought, did jobs. They were like a package deal. Tex was unsure of his feelings at first, but eventually a few months after they met they got together secretly.
6 months or so later, Tex, Beau, and a gang of theirs were rioting in a small town. They wanted to set fire to the bank they were robbing, but Tex told them not to, and went inside to maybe negotiate (threaten) instead. His gang ended up setting the bank on fire anyways with him in it, and he barely escaped alive. That resulted in his horrible facial burn scars, which he's hidden under a bandana ever since. Beau died in the fire. Tex never got over it.

When he was 18, he was given a 7 year old kid (Benny) from one of the bosses in Devil's Avenue and was told he was extremely important, and to "get rid" of him (KILL HIM) because he's the son of The Circuits' leader, Ivan Cryson. Tex had at least a little bit of a heart, so he decided he would take in Benny in secret and never allow him to go to Descent in fear of them trying to hurt him. Since then, Tex and Benny have had a close relationship, like brothers.
