Overview
Missile-Mire
- Missile-Mire's name is derived from two words, the "Missile" in his name refers to his strategy in combat to shoot an overwhelming number of missiles at the enemy, and the "Mire" in his name refers to the tendency of his opponents to get trapped in his missile voleys, with little hope of escaping intact.
Missile-Mire, the Bullet Hell
- the Bullet Hell
"The Bullet Hell"
FREELANCE Ranged Sargeant Bombardier #1
- Missile-Mire is not affiliated with any one faction in particular.
The closest thing he has to "affiliation" is the Mercenary Association League and the various benefits it provides to freelancers. He only works for the RUINATION for two reasons: the exorbitant amount of pay that the RUINATION gives to him and a tenet of their philosophy supports the unrestrained actions of independent mercenaries.
In the year 2071, Missile-Mire was presumed dead after the RUINATION attempted an attack against the Olympians, a ruling vassal class sponsored by PentaCorp.
[MIA]Later on in the year 2090, Missile-Mire was revealed to have survived his demise through unknown means. However, an attempt to capture him courtesy of the PentaCorp Peace Division would go horribly wrong, allowing him to escape to a RUINATION facility.
[UNKNOWN]Much later in the year 2099, Missile-Mire was dispatched by the RUINATION as a competitor in the Alkaline Games in order to take care of Io. However, this would result in Missile-Mire's seeming demise in the Arena.
[KIA??]After the Rebellion, Missile-Mire was apparently seen in the territory of Gelian Assault Systems, a Pennsylvanian corporation known for their research into
Social
- Missile-Mire has a mercenary relationship with his employer Ruinator.
In contrast with Kein Taxi, Missile-Mire couldn't care less about the goals of the RUINATION and usually operates independently from his associates. While in most circumstances Missile-Mire is willing to abide the requests of Ruinator, he is not loyal to the cause and only sticks around so that he can have fun and gain funds from his freelance work.
- Like with most things, Missile-Mire doesn't really care about any political ideologies. The only reason Missile-Mire is invested in political talk is because sometimes it affects how much limitation he has in doing his mercenary work.
If you were to ask him what political ideal he supported, Missile-Mire would probably respond with Anarchism, as it supports both his own tenets as well as the philosophy of the RUINATION, GESTALT and MAL organizations.

"ENFORCER?! Damn it they found out!"
"I'm a one mech missile crisis baby!"
"Aw! What's wrong? Too scared to make a real dent?"
"Eat some lead!"
"Damn! I guess when they said you can dance, you really could dance!"
"Allright! Fun's fun but now it's time to die!"
"If there's a next time for you, then don't hope, just--"
"Gah!"
"What the hell is this!"
"No--NO---NO!--"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
"Just another Bounty Seeker, I only hope that he minds his own business.
I have more important things to deal with." - Acrimonitor"How the hell did he get away with that fiasco in 2071 while I'm still stuck here rusting in this Cube!
Oh well, everything will be better once I'm in the Games." - Grind-Out"The Mercenary? The Bullet Hell is a hound that lives only to eat credits off from a corpse.
I can see why Ruinator keeps him around; I only hope that we won't need him for much longer." - Kein Taxi [Response 1]"Missile-Mire? Why would you bring him up at a time like this?
He's dead and buried; a product of the Old Age, a slave to his credits." - Kein Taxi [Response 2]"Missile-Mire's still alive? I guess if we're going off this picture, he's
"Missile-Mire is an unpredictable beast. Him and the rest of his RUINATION collaborators find new ways to complicate the Plan every time." - Spinner-Strings
"Give Missile-Mire some cash and we'll all be happy! Really, it's so easy! One time I hired him to blow up one of the Worker Division's little toys with a little million that I had on the side, and before I knew it Missile-Mire blew up not only the toy but some random bystander too!
10/10, I'd work with him again." - Xerxes
Originally, Missile-Mire was called the Mire, and was part of the Corpse Patrol, a group which I recycled from a scrapped horror project.
Unlike the other members, the Mire was repurposed for the RUINATION group, as his knife throwing gimmick was replaced with an overwhelming number of missiles, hence his new name.Missile-Mire's shoulders are inspired by the rings of biblically accurate Ophanim, with their eyes translating to the missile pods built into the ring.
As suggested by his epithet, Missile-Mire's missile gimmick is inspired by Bullet Hell games, a subgenre of shoot 'em up games that require the player character to dodge large amounts of projectiles.
Specifically, the way that Missile-Mire fires his weapons is derived from both Strikers 1945 III's Green Bender boss and Armored Core VI's Balteus boss.
Currently, Missile-Mire's design has yet to be uploaded as an image here whether as an AI placeholder or hand drawn creation. This is due to the placeholders not looking much like his canon design.
- Missile-Mire's death was originally going to be saved for the second installment in the series, however once I slimmed down the series to 3-4 installments, Missile-Mire's death was pushed back to an earlier point.
