Swordplay and acting. He is very good at pretending to feel things he doesn't feel. He is smart enough to sometimes exercise patience.

He fidgets a lot, unless he's playing a character. He has really precise, angry movements. He always looks vaguely mean.

He wants the throne of Ville Flue, and after the alliance with Kelly, he wants to dissolve that and pick up where his father left off.

He's cruel, and somewhat impetuous. He lacks empathy. But he is more dangerous than his father was.

He's mean and ambitious. He's smart in certain situations, enough that his father trusted him to accomplish tasks he was set to, and smart enough to read other people and react accordingly. But he has a hard time seeing the bigger picture, so he can be situationally smart but has a hard time plotting. He thinks he's good at it though.

He knew that his father wanted to legitimize him and views himself as the rightful heir to the throne, and not his mother. He despises the alliance with Kelly, and wants to conquer.

He is the bastard child of incest between Phalen Boudreau and his sister. He wasn't really treated like a prince, instead his father more trained him as a really valued military advisor. Because Phalen was pretty incapable of giving him love or affection, and his mother wasn't allowed to, he still craves approval from his father and is hostile towards his mother.

He can read and write and read maps, but the version of history he was taught is much abridged.

Before he died, Phalen sent Adrien to Bart Cotton. Phalen was conspiring with Bart to take control of the hundred year army and use it to conquer the rest of the nine countries. They instigated with the attack on the Stair Fort. Now, the Charian army hides in plain sight, with Adrien in command, being kept ignorant of Phalen's death. They wait for the right moment to take the half of the army that's loyal to Bart and attack the half that was previously loyal to Isandro and the crown, and now Danae. At the right moment, they'll spring their trap and attempt a military coup.
