Finding a sense of belonging, security, and love

Fragile, lacking self-assurance, easily frustrated and discouraged; quick to worry and to become dependent on others. In a crisis, he tends to react first and think later, and in crucial moments he can become paralyzed to inaction by his anxiety. At his worst, Jules, like Ryan, has a defeatist streak.

Warmhearted and fiercely loving, with an unyielding sense of duty to those he cares about. He has a sincere, unpretentious, even endearingly goofy way of relating to others, and though his typical reaction to hardship is to panic, if someone else is panicking worse, he'll drop everything to console them.

He's pretty simple; he can appreciate a lovable asshole (see Parker), but if someone is consistently a dick out of sheer lack of consideration, he can't abide.

Naturally, as a software developer, he's a decent programmer, and a creative problem solver when he sets his mind to it. If you asked Jules what his talents were, he'd probably only be able to come up with "gaming" and "useless knowledge."

Very sensitive, a straight-up crybaby even; it's a blessing and a curse. Unlike Richie, for instance, he doesn't really have the choice to shove his sadness down; it will always float right back to the surface.
