On 2/4/████, foreman ██████ Garcia was called to inspect formations of unknown crystal type discovered deep within the Brookstone Mines of the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada. The crystals were perfectly clear, emanating a radiance that served as a light source, with more being seen further down the tunnels. Foreman Garcia decided to deploy a cavern drone to investigate.

After approximately 2500 feet, a great chamber was discovered housing more crystals ranging from a few feet to many meters tall. Larger varieties were determined to possess too much radioactivity to handle without protective suits, and too durable to collect samples from with on-hand tools. Smaller crystals in the tunnel were to be extracted until the Brookstone Company could send equipment for proper excavation.

On 2/22/████, supplies were received and a team in cooled protective suits was sent to begin excavation efforts. Explosives were used to free a crystal cluster measuring 1.6 meters in diameter, and weighing 4.2 tons. During extraction, tremors measuring 1.1 were detected, ending after approximately 0.18 seconds. Crystal retrieval proceeded as planned.

On 2/24/████, 3:23 PM, daily work was interrupted following tremors measuring 2.2, lasting 0.38 seconds. Mining efforts resumed following a five minute break, and the day was completed with no further complications.

2/27/████, 7:45 AM, attempts at deep excavation were interrupted by a 3.2 earthquake lasting for 0.47 seconds. Tremors persisted periodically from 7:46 AM to 4:21 PM, at which point work for the day was ended early.

2/29/████, 5:33 PM, excavation of a crystal measuring at least 8 meters tall and 5 meters in diameter was interrupted when a 6.3 earthquake caused the tunnel to collapse, trapping six workers inside the main chamber. Progressively stronger earthquakes followed, culminating with the emergence of what was referred to as "some kind of giant diamond dinosaur" from the earth.

Believed to be an extraterrestrial life form that crash-landed on Earth as a meteor, Glacierok has hibernated deep within the earth for eons, feeding upon radiation and minerals to grow. His crystalline form is a sight to behold, always possessing a magnificent luster, and fragments shed from him are considered extremely valuable.

Glacierok can consume most forms of energy, but is particularly drawn to radiation. Most sightings occur in places of ample supply, and he appears able to sense radiation sources unknown to people. Despite his primary food source, Glacierok's body itself has very low levels of radioactivity; other organisms are able to stand near him with little to no ill effect.

The crystal structures he can manifest have properties similar to his own body, and are speculated to be of the same crystal type. Scientists are baffled by Glacierok's biology in general, given his apparent lack of organs, and the exact mechanics of his energy absorption are not understood. His body is suspected to hold untold secrets, and uncovering its mysteries may lead to new breakthroughs in energy supply and management.

A bipedal, saurian draconian beast. Actual head is somewhat disproportionately small, with an elongated, angular snout and lower jaw. Ridges above its eyes continue into a pair of short horns that form a V shape together. A black crest is on its skull. Extending from the sides of its head by its cheeks are a pair of long black horns, pointing up and outward from its head. The outer sides of these horns have crystalline growths, which continue into an icicle-like point at the bottom. Shoulders appear to be made of crystal, with a large, black conical spike on each one. Its arms to its elbows are black, while its forearms are crystalline with three black claws each, and each arm has a crystalline wing-like growth. Its hide is black, broken up by a single row of crystalline spikes that end 4/5 down its tail's length. Thin strips come from the base of each shoulder, meeting below the base of its neck to form a semi-triangular growth resembling plate. Inside its chest, one can make out a spherical, crystalline organ that is likely its heart. Its belly is black, stopping at its pelvis, while the inner sides of its thighs are black as well. Its thighs are comprised of arrowhead-shaped crystal, continuing into a long point in the front. Legs are digitigrade and end in feet with three black claws. Its tail is quite long, and ends in a cluster of crystals.
