Yvette was born to a prostitute on the streets of Khia, a famously crime-ridden city. The woman brought Yvette to an orphanage and left her there. No father came forward to claim her. She lived there for four months before Sergei Petrov, a retired soldier, took her in. Sergei owned a small dairy farm, so Yvette grew up in the country. She had a lot of chores due to her father's damaged lung (this was the reason he was allowed to retire). However, these chores only served to make her stronger. When Yvette was twenty, a drunk with a cart ran over Sergei, killing him. Yvette continued to run the farm for a year, but she couldn't find a way to come to terms with her father's meaningless death. The grief turned to anger, but Yvette had no one to turn to, so it simply stayed bottled up. At the age of twenty-one, Yvette moved to the nearby town of Bellmonte. There, she met a woman named Lilith. Lilith promised her a way to use all the rage inside of her--anger at the cruelty of the world. Yvette, having nothing left to live for, followed her to the Black Temple. There, she met Channary, who became her dearest friend. Three years later, Channary ran away and drowned in a raging river. Yvette swore revenge on the people Channary had been traveling with. The anger at this new death threatened to destroy her, making her more ruthless than ever.
