Lilith grew up in a strictly conservative environment. Her family was rich, but her mother was unable to have any more children, so Lilith was the only one to continue the Scarborough fortune. Her mother sought to augment this fortune, so she had Lilith engaged to a rich young man. She went through with it reluctantly, hoping that the man would get a mistress and leave her in peace. All was well for a few months, but then her husband started to hit her when she refused to try for children. This continued for two weeks, until one night, he tried to force himself onto her. Lilith panicked and grabbed the first thing she could off the table behind her: a letter opener. She used it to stab him in the throat. She isn't sure how she managed to find the strength, but he ended up dead. Covered in her husband's blood and wrapped in a robe, Lilith fled the scene, heading for the Frostbitten Wood. There, she ran into a red-haired young man. He was smoking a cigarette and dressed in black; stereotypical trouble. Lilith was terrified and nearly hysterical, but the man calmed her down. He asked her what had happened, and she told him. He then asked her if she regretted killing her husband, and to her shame, Lilith said no. The man then introduced himself as Anifur and asked if she would like to hide in the woods for a while. She was still a bit afraid, but she went. He swore on his life that he wouldn't harm her. She was still slightly hysterical and didn't really think of what Anifur could do to her. However, he was true to his word and didn't so much as touch her. Anifur showed her how to lock her door if she wanted--that's what made her trust him completely. She stayed at the Black Temple for two months before she learned that Anifur was actually a demon. She then began recruiting priestesses. Of course, her favorite was Reyalline Lycantree, whom she fell in love with.
