Kristijan had a very normal childhood compared to that of some of his friends. He grew up in a large family, having two sisters and four brothers. He is the third oldest of the family and was the first son. He had a close relationship with extended family, especially his maternal cousins and grandparents. He saw his paternal relatives less often because they disapproved of his father marrying his mother because she had immigrated with her family only a year earlier and still struggled with English. They were married anyways and soon started a family of their own. They encouraged Kris to follow his dream of playing baseball professionally as they worked on their own dream of running a successful restaurant. Kris spent his early years playing baseball and soccer with his cousins and honing in a talent that would eventually get him invited to attend Heaven's Gate Academy after the family's name was spread through the success of his parents' restaurant.

He has received up to a freshman education in regular school. He now attends Heaven's Gate Academy to refine his athletic skills.
