Tattoos all over his side, left arm, and neck, both ears pierced, various scars, 2 gold teeth and one silver, a (real) diamond tooth, all of his teeth are incisors (they look like they're filed, but that's just the way he was born- he's contemplated becoming a piranha). A row of scars along his knuckles from this one time he punched out all the windows in a room and jumped out, his "signature exit." His most recognisable tattoos are the fire-breathing dragon on his neck, the "gauntlet" with his name on his knuckles, the half-circle of arrows on his wrist, the MacKenzie crest, and most famously, a secret map of the Glasgow subway.

Athletic and well-muscled, but fairly lean

Very fair, ruddy cheeks, blushes easily, especially when angry. Used to have freckles but they've faded quite a bit.

He probably has a Tumblr, but no-one knows it. Playing the piano or guitar, collecting old model kits. Getting tattooed, making art, poetry, and making funny (and often inappropriate) sculptures out of scrap metal. He's a bit of a film geek. His favourites are Fight Club, The Warriors, Pulp Fiction, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, and A Clockwork Orange. Humanities nerd (his favourites are Hamlet and Macbeth.) Some of his favourite bands are Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Queen, Radiohead, the Sex Pistols, the Ramones, Pink Floyd and Guns n' Roses

Paints one nail black, guess which one it is. One of those people who flips off someone every 30 seconds. Smoker, alcoholic tendencies. Tends to rant to himself when irritated. Constantly burns toast. Clenches fists when angry, cracks his knuckles before a fight. Closes his eyes when he starts to boil over. Has a habit of doodling randomly on everything and possesses a unique tenth-Doctor like smirk. Has a pronounced Dundee accent. Says "what" quite often, whether cynical or surprised. Has a tendency to yell "THAT'S HISTORICALLY INACCURATE" at opportune moments. Has a halting speech pattern; can be short and quick or slow and thoughtful. Sleeps in his underwear on his back or side, grinds his teeth, and has a tendency to yell so loud in his sleep he wakes up everyone in the house (or castle.) He's very insecure about his appearance and avoids mirrors; he reminds himself of his mother.

All his life, Calum strived to establish himself as separate from his troubled family and past. Recently, though

Recovering heroin addict and alcoholic. Aggressive, vengeful, impulsive, temperamental and arrogant. Has bipolar disorder and BPD (borderline personality disorder). Feels like he can't do anything without killing someone. Sometimes a coward. His worst enemy is himself. Can't control his power. When desperate or panicked, he becomes increasingly wild and reckless. He does have a sadistic side, and when out for revenge is bloodthirsty and impossible to stop.

Talented classically trained pianist and guitarist, good artist (the spray paint is his best friend), excellent poet, and a great engineer when he feels like it. "Fights dirty" with fire magic, see notes. His time as a stag "leaked " infravision into his normal human skills. Calum possesses the ability of "riastrad," battle-rage, the some extent- when desperate, he gets taller, his teeth get longer and sharper, and his strength doubles. In this stage, he's almost impossible to stop. An apparently useless talent is his voice- he can modulate it so that it's lower than a whisper or loud as a jet engine. Calum's scream, according to Fiona, is "the most terrible and beautiful sound in the world." He has a beautiful voice, which reminds some people of Freddie Mercury's.

INTP, ambivert. Passionate, artistic, sensitive, brooding, fiery, and stubborn, somewhat indifferent, disillusioned and at times poetic, Calum has a dry, sick sense of humour. He's a nentertaining person to be around, but there is something you can't quite avoid- a sense of tense, pent-up rage that is deadly when unleashed. He will never forget anything you've done. Emotional and extremely contradictory. He has "the sarcasm of Johnny Rotten, the voice of Freddie Mercury and the soul of Kurt Cobain." Calum has difficulty expressing himself and his violent mood swings, and does so through art.

Black and red.

Falcon and a red deer stag. He gets along pretty well with snakes.

His Glock 9mm, axe and old-fashioned straight-edge razor, simple but deadly.

A sole surviving piece of wood, a stag made by his mother from an antler, some old VHS tapes and photos he didn't burn. His white skateboard, which he doodled all over with black Sharpie. His prize possesion is his black Harley-Davidson and a motorcycle helmet that he spray-painted with the Union Jack and anarchy symbol. (Previously, it was a dragon.) He also owns a black Jaguar that he stole from the owner (shot in the front seat), but it's so beat-up he doesn't know what to do with it.

Mint chocolate. Favours lemon, ginger and cinnamon flavours. Loves icing, petrol, shortbread, cookie dough and fried food (curry cheese chips especially) Lives off late-night munchy boxes

1/2 February (Imbolc) 1992

Calum's father was a failed punk musician who retired to his family home in the Highlands, where he met Calum's mother, Brigid. Unfortunately, Brigid left before his seventh birthday as his abusive grandfather, while she was pregnant, almost forced her to have an abortion. Ever after, Calum was referred to as "it" or "the mess"- he once overheard his uncle telling his father to "look at the mess you've made." Caged in by his controlling father, one night he made the decision to burn down his manor house and (inevitably) kill everyone in it- including his unborn baby brother, leaving him with no family. He ran away to Glasgow, where he joined an infamous East End drug gang and became one of it's most trusted members, becoming famous for his knowledge and control over the Glasgow subway maintainence tunnels (referred to as the "Underground Kingdom.") Calum has broken out of prison twenty-two times, and recently broke out of rehab. The rest is history... (see notes)
As a child Calum was unusually precocious and extremely intelligent, often getting in trouble for his outspoken manner and acid tongue.

The earliest records we have of Calum's life show a happy, outgoing child, with a darker, rebellious streak.

He apparently smells like pine trees and campfire smoke.

He loves the woods; his favourite places are probably Castle Leod, Eilean Donan, and Ben Nevis.

In his backpack you'll find crumbs, chocolate, tangled earbuds, magazines (the gun type), subway tickets, Prozac, his notebook and sketchbook, and an odd assortment of pens and pencils.

He usually dresses in baggy/ripped black jeans, flannel, Doc Martens, and a black leather/denim jacket.

When Calum was six, a male red deer fawn stumbled into his yard. With the permission of a veterinarian he nursed the fawn, who he named Jocky, back to health and set it free. Unbeknownst to him, Jocky was actually a magical deer under the protection of his mother, Brigid. Jocky grew into a magnificent stag and continued to watch over Calum as the years went on.

Shortly after, Calum's father began dating a beautiful young woman named Kate. Kate was already pregnant and his fianceé when his son decided to crash the party. In doing so, Calum effectively killed his own unborn half-brother.

After his mother left, his father began to notice how dangerous he could be, and locked him away in a fireproof room for his safety, neglecting him and treating him as nothing less than a dangerous wild animal, only showing affection when in public. He often forced Calum to behave or act a certain way by emotionally or physically abusing him, though eventually Calum learned to fight back. He started to show signs of favoritism when Kate arrived, and never let his son near her, claiming that he was actually a boy he adopted out of pity.

He left the gang after feuds erupted, choosing to move to Edinburgh and then London to become a drug dealer. At the age of eighteen, an alcoholic and heroin addict in Edinburgh, his past started to catch up with him (he's actually the next-in-line for the chieftainship of Clan MacKenzie.) He contemplated suicide, then tried to pick himself up and relapsed into a bout of alcoholism (He wrote about this in "Calum's Song.") He wound up in rehab, and then broke out to return to the world of street-fighter Glasgow.

He's based off both Axl Rose and Kurt Cobain.

The models here are Jake Hold, who is Welsh, and Ken Bek, who is Danish. Jake's face and physical features are pretty close to what I imagined, but he has more of Ken's eye color. He's pretty much a mix of the two. Please, please check out Jake Hold's Instagram account. The man's hair is a legitimate fire hazard.

Calum's power is such that even the slightest annoyance will set off a fire, without him even thinking. He has difficulty controlling it, and has only begun to do so (he could not before the age of seventeen.) He has several "types" of fire; they generally increase according to his emotions. The most dangerous requires the most energy and emotional drive. It doesn't stay a consistent colour, consumes regular materials in a couple of seconds, keeps burning as long as he wants, and will kill monsters. He doesn't have to make physical contact to set it on fire. He also has been seen to fry circuit boards, combust batteries, and melt metal.

As for molding metals, he can make useful things in times of need like a basic knife, ball, or salt shaker.

If you touched him, you'd probably assume he had a fever. His body temperature is just five degrees higher than normal. He's able to consume flammable liquids (hence the petrol,) with the added risk of coughing/belching up long lines of blue fire.

As he's still made of mortal flesh, Calum is one of the few that Cathal truly fears. He ran into him a few years ago and somehow managed to burn most of his face and neck.

Cinnamon and fireworks make him happy; they remind him of his mother, Brigid.

He frequently has dreams of himself falling into a fire, which probably symbolises his tendency to fly into a rage.

His father was a good friend of the Cobains, so he met Kurt Cobain and daughter Frances shortly before his death; Kurt must have seen something in him, since he played two songs for him (not revealed.) To this day Kurt in different stages of his life (wee Kurt) frequently pops up as a personification of his conscience.

He's prone to violent outbursts, without any regard for his or others' personal safety, ranging from smashing windows with his bare hands to going on crazed murder sprees.

Though he looks tough, he really is just looking for a little peace and quiet (after spending a year in therapy)

His love life has been a wreck since he fell in love with a prostitute named Lily. He killed her, thanks to Cathal. Don't even ask.

When he uses his most dangerous type of fire ("spirit fire"), everything around him becomes muted and blurred, so that he can concentrate to the best of his ability.

He's so dangerous because he can't control his fire. He can start one, but can't make it smaller or put it out. They often start on their own, when he's annoyed or angry.

Along with Iain, he distrusts those in the mental health industry.

Calum views himself as a melodramatic hypocrite- he likes to say he was "born mad"

When he's bored, he likes to stare intensely and pretend to be listening while playing snatches of a song in his head

Like Iain, he tends to sleep in unusual places.

He covers his walls with paper and hand-paints them himself. His art style is very intricate and delicate, making use of lots of ink, watercolours, and gold leaf.

He keeps all of his poems in an old notebook he's had since he was seven.
