Silver, but uses a "spray on skin" to look Caucasian. The skin was developed by scientists at his father's company. It can withstand water and friction, as to not rub off. It takes the properties skin to make it seem more realistic. Only comes off with concentrated heat.

Believes that normals will always either fear him or find him weird, so he consciously keeps people at a distance. Also has a hard time believing in redemption, so he doesn't trust criminals or ex cons.

Smiles with his teeth when lying, raises one eyebrow whenever he finds something questionable, entertaining, or just plain weird. Crosses arms when he doesn't believe what he's being told. Tends to look around and watch everything in the room when idle.

He wants to prove himself. He couldn't save his parents when they were killed so he wants to make them proud even now by going the extra mile. He also genuinely wants to help people when he can. Wants to make use of his abilities so he doesn't feel like he was cursed with differences for nothing.

Need to please, sometimes he won't let go of an issue until he has solved the problem, stressing himself about it. Though it can be good to be determined, he tends to go overboard. Pretends to be prideful so that people think he's confident, and sometimes tries too hard, forgetting to be true to himself. He also has trust issues due to the way he has been treated over the years about his differences.

Though not a genius, Carter has a decent IQ. He learned multiple fighting styles over the course of hiss teenage years. He knows how to use a gun as well.

Working out. Whenever he is bored or stressed, he lifts weights. He also enjoys swimming, he feels as though the water washes all the stress and worries away. He likes to read, mostly fantasy and sci fi.

Carter is very kind, friendly, but sarcastic. He doesn't let many people in or talk about his life much. He takes a very passive role in his family's company; more of an overseer than a decision maker.
On the flipside, as Mr. Mercury, he's very talkative and a show boater. Doesn't always take fights seriously, but likes to make a point of how heroic he is.
When he was young, most people seemed repelled by him because of his differences, even his own parents barely acknowledged him. It wasn't until he was able to use the spray skin that he fit in. Due to this, he keeps people at a distance, afraid of how they will react to the truth. When he was 18, he had a girlfriend who was attacked while they were out and he saved her, but she saw his abilities and ran away confused. Even after he became the hero of Crystal Springs, he kept the identities separate, afraid people would treat him different.
As the hero, he flaunts his abilities ands heroics, proud of his accomplishments. He wants everyone to love him and depend on him so that he can feel like he's made his parents proud.

He believes in a higher power, but does not follow any particular religion. Wonders why he would be cursed with his abilities and appearance, but does not make religion a priority in life.

October 4th, 1990

Born in a small town, Carter had struggled with fitting in since birth. He was born with silver skin and pink hair, as well as some strange abilities. His parents, knowing that he would be misunderstood, kept him home schooled and away from other kids. Carter's mother worked as an international surgeon and would work long hours at the hospital and occasionally fly to other cities. His father owned WilliamsTech Industries, a scientific research company, causing him to always be in meetings or in the labs. Neither one seeming to have time for their freak of a son. Not wanting people to see that his son wasn't normal, Carter's dad kept him at home all the time.
When Carter was 8 years old, his home school tutor moved away, and his parents couldn't find another that could deal with his "condition", so he was sent to a boarding school for special kids called "Garner's School for the Gifted". They had learned of this school through a scientist at the labs who sent his own child their at one time. The school was scarcely known, in an attempt to keep it secret from the outside world. Accompanied by his cousin, Dawn, Carter made friends with a boy named Owen. through thick and thin, the trio was inseparable. However, at the age of 15, Carter had a big change in atmosphere.
His father had a scientist within the company create a type of spray on skin that looked realistic so Carter could fit in with regular kids and removed him from the school. His cousin was also withdrawn from the school, as the two had grown to be like siblings, and she joined him in new environment. He lost contact with his friend Owen however. On Carter's 3rd day of school, he returned home in the middle of an armed house robbery, where both of his parents were shot and killed. He tried to stop the robbers but was shot as well, only surviving because the shot hit his shoulder and the paramedics arrived in time.
Carter was then raised by his uncle and cousin Dawn. Throughout the next few years, he hated himself for not being strong enough to save his parents and started training how to fight. He learned multiple fighting styles, and even joined police academy after high school. While on the police force, he was partnered with Michael Shane. The two became close and Carter learned a lot from him, however he still felt like he wasn't doing enough to help. He would get in trouble for running off during missions when he would become the hero, but under the restrictions of the badge, felt as though he couldn't reach enough people, so he left the force.
He started going around as a silver skinned hero that people began to call Mr. Mercury due to his powers making his body malleable. He kept his police scanner so that he could still keep up with what was going on and be there as soon as a problem happened.
